Today the Kzinti Empire bestows upon Snarkotamus the title of Hero! He has proven himself in battle and earned his dual-name. The t'kzintar of the empire salute you!
This esteemed honor obviously instills great fear into the e-creatures. They just crumbled before my fearsome wrath to the tune of a 78,750 point April 15 YZ Rout! . Of course, I now feel compelled to say: "I still haven't been
Snarkotamus
Are you finishing your games on April 8th Snarkotamus? That is a major factor in getting a high score.
AAk. The gremlins are zapping my repiles. Watch the zapped one show up as soon as I post this one..... Anyway, I try for April 8, but the 15th is my earliest so far. I may be putting too much effort into tech and not enough into population. Edit: We need a "delete post" button.......
Are you finishing your games on April 8th Snarkotamus? That is a major factor in getting a high score.
I think the 15th is the earliest I have been able to actually get a win. The downside of the Immense map is the distance. I think I will try concentrating more on population and less on tech. and see if that makes a difference. I believe I have the "dirty tricks" part down at least.
Has anybody tried a ZYW on an immense map in TA?
I play all almost all of mine on Immense with custom races. I still can't crack 70k, but I'm working on it. The trick with the Immense map is to set all of the star/planet sliders to "Rare".
I have a question regarding the posting of Year Zero "Defeats". When I hit the dreaded Red Economic Spiral of Doom from which there is no possible recovery, would it be more appropriate to "retire" and post the defeat, scuttle my planets and post the defeat, or declare war and wait until the Thalans wipe me out?
Speaking of Devious Diplomatic Debauchery, I just put a painful pounding on the Thalans by spending my remaining BCs to buy about 5 techs from them just before I toasted their only planet with a spore ship. Sorry unsuspecting bug-soldiers never saw it coming.........
Edit: After further reading, it would seem that I picked a REALLY bad time to start a Year Zero empire. Had I been aware of the situation regarding certain recent "scandals", I would not have started this empire, or started "spamming" it with Year Zero games. Apologies to anyone who may have taken this empire as an intentional affront.
Ctrl N should be what you want.
Thanks for the welcome, Seth and Freeman. We are used to being fed upon. That's OK, if you eat one of us, there are plenty more skulking and breeding. We thrive on abuse[e digicons]:)[/e]
This empire is closed until I come up with a different theme.
Having been convinced by KP's staggering diplomatic abilities to join the Empire, I have unleashed ToxicFurball on the unsuspecting e-citizens of several blundering civilizations. No 852 with a bullet........ Anyway, I am glad to be a part of the No 1 decimator of dreams. The prime pounder of poor pitiful pretenders. The gleeful gouger of inferior species infesting the sacred galactic stalking grounds.
If you want to have some Real fun with diplomacy, play as a custom race using the Drath tech tree and the Super Diplomat ability. Make sure you research Invisible Hand and build the Diplomatic Translator prior to Treaty Time.
The tweaks so far are !!!fantastic!!!. The only odd issues I have encountered are the Drengin and Korath. They both seem to have an aversion to colonizing. Of course, I have not played much since the TA Release, so this may be by design. I am enjoying the game on a quad-core now, and can play in an immense galaxy with "everything" with almost No Crashes! I am also extremely happy (for a Snathi) about the Tech Brokering option, the Extreme Planets option, and the Random Events opti
I guess this means that there's not going to be a ToA Saturday Night Battlecast. My dream, once again, has been crushed by the cruel JackBoot of Despair. Wail! I wanted to be an announcer sooooo bad!
While I'm, at it: Why doesn't someone lock this thread? It's just as bad as the other one, and the issue could have, and should have, been handled with a pm to the Moderators.
....people that feel they have the right to spout their drivel at me.
Speaking of spouting drivel...........
all the crackpots on the internet including those that deny global warming ...
........... Hey, I tried to resist, but you set yourself up.
Kudos. You now officially have a future that involves something better than serving french fries or airbrushing skateboards. Sadly, you have also eliminated yourself from a career in politics.
If we were intelligently designed, the designer sure did a bad job.
I can sure think of a few design flaws that I would like to fix. I think PMS tops the list this month...
A carbon footprint is for amateurs. I have a carbon CRATER.
Jeśli jesteś nie wygodny rezygnować język angielski , możesz zawsze używać pewien tłumaczenie program wobec tłumaczyć z polski wobec język angielski. Edit: This makes no sense whatsoever if it is reverse-translated back to english. Thereore, my suggestion to use an online translation program will probably not work very well.
...the ill-formed belief that gamers are a freak fringe element....
It's even worse if I let it slip that I am a mm...mmmmmm...~Modder~. There! I said it! And I'm Proud, dadburnit! I'm not quite proud enough to mention it on a first date, though............ I'm afraid that I do not know much about links, just the "quote" tags. I believe that you can edit a post until someone else posts a reply. ps Welcome to the Forum!!!
My 2 Cents: I have not seen all of the game-based movies, but the worst I've seen is In The Name Of The King . I sure hope Uwe Boll stays away from C&C and Galciv. The best I've seen is/are the Resident Evil series. Star Trek Legacy is my least favorite TV/Movie-based game, although I have not played many others such as Dune or Beowulf. My current favorite is Battlefront 2.
There are changes to the .xml files, but they don't seem to work in-game yet. There is a Gaia Vortex in the planetary improvements that looks like it will be quite good when it gets "turned on".
But we WANT to be able to play as the Dread Lords............
.....Arrakis Imperium .....
I've always suspected that the "invisible ship bug" is actually a manifestation of Arakeen "no-ships". I keep trying to catch one, but they are too slippery.........
