One can only imagine the trauma CL had to endure sitting on those 2 scores. See, everyone thought my warning to the Kzinti about you guys was silly. Not so silly now, it would seem. How many total points did the ToE post today? I, for one, am very alarmed. Little wonder that Mumblefratz is taunting us in such an admirably ruthless manner. Seems cats are not the only creatures who like to play with their food......
Maybe the Overmind is set up differently. The TwP and Kzinti are both "open", but that one may be an "invite only" or something. @GW: Your empire is not "open". I have tried to join twice, and have gotten a message to the effect my application to join had to be approved by someone.
Hehe. Maybe the 18K legitimate users had 5 siblings each. I will have you know, sir, that I am sitting on a High Horse, not a high chair. As far as my rabid anti-piracy position goes, I have but one more thing to add before I take my leave of this most entertaining thread: I have no doubt that I will run across some of these pirates in the normal course of my daily activities. When I do, I will take great pleasure in uttering the immortal phrase: "Why yes, I would like fries w

In reality there are only 2 MV empires left, the Kzinti and the *not Kzinti* which is the ToE. So you really have a simple choice. If you want to jump on the bandwagon and get a gold 1st place empire medal with no e
Yep, it's back! I think Stardock should reward Pat with a paid vacation in the Carribean.

*bump* I have modified the TwP forum. Guests can still view our brilliance, but one must now register to post. My apologies to the 6 guests that got disconnected in the process. I really DID push the wrong button this time. Hehe...joke's on me for a change. And, Windae Licker strikes again!

Odd, I have played BCMG, and am playing UCCE while I wait out the server repairs, and I have not run across a single bug in either. I have no idea why Derek Smart would want to waste his time coming here and participating in this thread. If Slurple were to start something like this on Derek's site, he would be toast in about 10 seconds.

Ah, but by bugging Pat, Kryo learns about the problems and how to fix them, instantly doubling the number of people who know how the repair the MV server. Grass is OK, sunlight tends to make my flesh disintegrate and blow away in the wind.
We thought we might propose the possibility of more reasoned behavior, that's all. We ease off a bit in exchange for stardock giving us a reasonable explanation of the metaverse server failure. So far, the have not. Rather than pick apart the apparent flaws in the explanation we have received, I am more than willing to wait and give them a chance to provide more information. After all (hint hint), we do not have a complete picture. Significant data is missing. I would also like to point out t
See, Kryo, we're already starting to calm down. So howsabout giving us a full and complete assessment on the metaverse server so that we can ease our overactive imaginations and get down to the business of producing scottish-themed game accessories? I don't think that's such an unreasonable request, do you?
it has nothing to do with hardware or backups. The metaverse software is not behaving correctly. Yes, I'm sitting on 700K, cued up and ready to go. Sadly it is one of my Twilight Pub characters, so I will not qualify for the award.
Point conceded on the MV. For me, however, there is a much larger issue in play now. Brad has been all over the demigod forum, as well he should, but has not taken the time to say one word to the GalCiv2 community. It wold only take 10 min for him to come over here and diffuse the growing resentment that has been building on our forums. Had he the class to address this issue on Day 1, like he should have, I would be first in line to defend stardock against their detractors. Now, I am among th
I just hope they're prepared for the surge of game submissions. I think the Empire should award some sort of special recognition to the first Kzinti player to get a game posted.

The MV server has been offline since last week, so it is not your computer that is causing the issue. We are hopeful that the issues will get resolved today, but stardock has not given us much information to go on. Keep an eye on this thread: https://forums.galciv2.com/346548 We get occasional updates from Kryo there.
Well, I don't know much about Australian car slang, but I looked up "Obstinate" in an online IT-English dictionary: "The afflicted device tends to emit destructive bolts of plasma energy, strangles technicians with creeping tentacles of wire, and/or fires intermittent bursts of hex screws at velocities of 500 ft/sec or more". When the MV server improves from "Obstinate" to "Unstable", they should be able to fix it fairly quickly. "Unstable: The temporal rift that has b
