I neglected to mention that the screenshot belongs to one of Ser Arris's characters. Sorry about that. My characters show up just fine. I alternate between IE7 and Firefox. Try looking at "ghost in the machine", "sertorious", or "orpon" in this empire (The Twilight Pub): http://metaverse.galciv2.com/index.aspx?g=empire&id=3912 It appears that new users, in general, have

This problem has been plaquing new users for far too long: Are you going to fix it any time soon? It is very annoying.

Here's a dirty trick for you if you are going to be an evil Super Diplomat: If you have enough cash and diplomacy, you can buy up most/all of an opponent's fleet and trade to to a minor race For Their Only Planet ! I just did this in my current game. Not only do you get the planet and leave your opponent defenseles
Wow you exploiting lil bassturds. Never seen so much ai exploiting in all my born days. Truely proves the Game Genie age has arrived. In case you don't know what a game Genie is it was a console cheat mechanism invented back in the mid 80's to allow kids to cheat their way through games and teach them to exploit the mechanics of the game instead of trying to beat it on their own. Then when PC's arrived game magazines started publishing chea
My first go at DA...
Outstanding!!! We need to come up with a special Trifecta Salutation for you when you get a million-pointer in ToA.
I came up with this idea in another thread: "I have not tried this, but if you have enough influence I suppose it is possible to stick all of the AIs with a four-module limit" (on starbases), "then bail from the UP so that you can have unlimited modules. I'll have to try that one next time the opportunity arises." It seems like an entertaining idea to collect devious tactics for putting the woogabegoogamus in the AI races. The UP votes certainly offer some opportunities.
When I am in a rare mood to dick with trade at all, I will send all of my freighters clear across the galaxy to a single destination, usually a minor race that cannot culture-flip, and build several econ base arrays along the trade route. It takes time to set up, but eventually yields decent money. I don't usually fool with trade, since it pales in comparison with tax revenues. I have also found that giving a significant amount of trade to the AIs can result in a massive assault of es

Snark, just tested in ToA V2.02........it boosted military production by 50%.
The particular game I used it in had various other odd bugs as well. This quad-core occasionally does some strange things when I play a game for hours on end. I'll try the ASC again in the nex
I don't see any reason to put more than 1 extra module unless you are playing in a sparsley populated map. Speed is far more important than range in the Immense galaxy.
Thanks!!! By the way, does anyone know what, if anything, the Artificial Slave Center does? I used it in the last game, and could not tell any difference in military production at all. In the Planetary Improvement editor it says Ability: None, Ability Factor: 50 .

Let me rephrase my views in a more civilized manner: From my perspective, I see the metaverse as an integral part of the game. Stardock uses the Metaverse as a "selling point", so it seems reasonable enough to me to claim that Stardock is obligated to maintain it in

In my carefully considered opinion, no progress
Cool? Not hardly. Allow me to list some things that you could do that might actually lead you in the general direction of coolness: 1) Explain to us when, exactly, you propose to repair the blatant flaws in ToA. 2) Then, actually proceed to fix said blatant flaws. 3) Repair the metaverse forum, which is also ripe with disfunction.
