I try to stay abreast of the thread even if I don't post in it. Goodness knows I've got about 85% of the thread to my ranting anyway. If I don't respond to something, feel free to private message me. This goes for anyone else too. I'm trying to do my part to help make Demigods better.

However, the more people testing it the better. If you can get others to test it too, and report ba
pacov mentioned that the debuffs were removed more slowly from him than from Oculus. I asked for a replication because it didn't make any sense and it got buried under other issues. In retrospect what was occurring was that the debuffs weren't being removed at all. They just naturally timed out. Also, the UberFix thread in the modding forum is probably the best place to ask questions and list complaints.

Oops. Thanks for the heads up. I fixed it to affect the target not the caster. It is added to release candidate 1.02c.
I looked into it. At this point, without more information, I'm going to classify it as a random glitch. There are too many possible ways to cause this error, many which are not Demigods related. Now, someone go test The Forces of XXX Control the Map. (I try to do it, but I can't get volunteers to help me test it. It has to be tested with other people because you can't desync by yourself.)
I watched the replay. The Rook has the Dark Crimson Vial. He goes back to the shop. It disappears there around 12:00. The vial icon is replaced by a grey circle. This typically happens when the item isn't written correctly or when something happens to glitch the item. At this point, until it can be replicated or more people experience it, I'm going to classify it as a random glitch.
So now that the promotion is over, can someone tell us what it was all about? If it isn't clear I'm referring to this one: https://www.stardock.com/media/mailers/Demigod_Friends.asp
Given that I'm a nut, I did try a me versus AI game and there is a curious event. Whenever the Forces of X control the map event occurs, the game triggers a CVPUpdateGame event. Otherwise this is event only (as far as I can see right now) occurs at the end of a game. I've also noticed that quite a few times that the game also breaks after the victory screen. If something can glitch when the servers are updated with the game state, this may cause a invalid game state. re: Force
UberFix 1.02b version It now includes the Rook fix. If you guys could test out the Rook and make sure he doesn't do anything weird, that would be great. Forces of XXX MapTest I built a map to test for the Forces of XXX Control the map crash. Please download and test it with others online. I moved all the flags on Cataract to the center so the
re:Rook as a ranged character Hmm, I'm not sure I believe your hypothesis. When I get a chance I'll remove the Rook ranged weapons and see what happens. Incidentally the arrows do have a standard range, they are declared as normal weapons in his blueprint. When I increased his melee range it made it larger than the arrow range, so it should have kicked in, but it didn't. Likewise as I increased the melee range of his attack his following di
re:QoT switching targets I tried to replicate it using Hedgie's clear instructions, but was unable to do so. I tried about 4 times, I'll try another couple of times before demanding a better explanation. re:TB & Oculus Height I'm not sure on if it is possible change the height problem so easily. The demigod has a turreted weapon (staff) that fires the pr
re:awuffable's posts I'm looking into this still. I promise to have a nice wall of text once I finish trying things. re:Unclean Beast Ooze Suicide I had thought that I had finally put this argument to rest, as per the discussion around 164 as referenced by pacov. pacov did a good summary of the issue and the documentation of the changes. I did not remove t
Since it looks like progress is being made, here is my contribution to slow it. While it is a community norm not to allow duplicate demigods on the same team, I think we could safely relax it for some pairings. Double Demon Assassin, QoT, Regulus, TB, all seem fair to me.
So, I've been thinking and exploring the various weapon attack problems. Here are my thoughts in case anyone else is interested in the problem. Weapon Attack Range MinRadius does create a minimum range for a weapon. MaxRadius does create a maximum range for a weapon. When a target enters minimum range, the attacker does not switch to a valid target. When a target leaves maximum range, the attacke

The armor deals 35 armor to any attacker that deals damage to you. The armor only reacts to Demigod autoattacks (it can react to abilities, but they are set to not activate it) and minion & reinforcement attacks. The damage dealt by the Armor of Vengeance is not mitigated by armor. The Armor does not reduce damage by 35 points, but it does have a functioning armor value which increases your armor.
re: AI sitting in base. That's very odd, very odd. What Demigod was it? re: Regulus Tracking That's also odd. I'd like to have this replicated if possible.
Why not skip all of the attempts to make rules and just make a list of all legal team pairings?
A while back I was asking about Logging AI actions, but forgot about it after you replied. I was curious about how the AI was making decisions and such, so I was attempting to enable all of the debugging and logging options. I'm not sure if you have looked at it, but some of the logic pathing is visible. I'm attempting to enable the rest of it, but if you already have and could hook me up with it, that would be great. So far what I've gotten is some of the Logging and Chat messages fr
re: "War Score" display at each teams' citadel is incorrect. I went looking for where this occured once and it wasn't obvious at the time. I'll move it up on my priority list just for you. re: Poisoned Blood I'm pretty sure damaging LE was unintended. Before the fix LE could farm himself into artifacts really easily. After the fix he can't farm himself. Healing his teammates is a
I figure as long as pacov puts up with me losing (nearly) every game I play with him, I should try to honor his patch release requests.
I went ahead and made a beta release. I'm currently working on Command Queues, Occulus Auto Attack, Post Mortem XP, and health bar scaling. However, I don't see any brilliant solutions to any of them right now. The last fix I made was the Sacrifice Fix and it was more on a whim than a purposeful find.
I'm not sure live streaming video is the route to take. Most of the games will be played at random times of the days, it is unlikely that people would be able to arrange their schedules around it. That being the case, having the videos for download would be the best solution. Likewise having an in-game referee would also complicate things. Creep patterns would change and system usage would go up. So using replays would remove this problem. Additional
Here is the contents of DefaultKeyMap.lua. This is a useful resource for new modders, especially if you keep forgetting what file it is in. ['Esc'] = 'escape', ['F10'] = 'options_menu', ['Pageup'] &nbs
