I'm kinda beginning to sorta change my mind here - a tad. However there is the potential for feeding the trolls when done publickly. Possibly a 2 tier approach - polite public reprimand followed if necessary by a firmer private conversation with the possibility of 'yur outta here' if necessary.
I'm going to go against the general trend here. Polite and private takes the sting out of the reprimand as I don't believe anyone wishes to be publicly told to behave. As far as showing the community that the offender has been dealt with - I don't believe that to be necessary, as long as the offence stops. Given the current rate of growth in hardware and software I suspect a 15 year old computer would be about as useful as a 286 would be today. It hardly matters whether MS will be around or the user has XP loaded on it - nothing useful's going to happen on it anyway. Of course, my crystal ball might be out of whack.

Kona, I think that's probably a result of a corrupted install. If it was me, I'd download the installer and try again.
Of course as you downloaded it through Limewire, it's not likely a legal application. The apps that Theme manager uses are available through Stardock, usually through Stardock Central. If you have your serial number, contact Stardock for SDC.
in the theme editor, you'll find a system tray option on the left menu. Simply add it to your bar and arrange it where you want it to be.

SD, you're animations are pretty cool! That said, so many animations in other forums are in-your-face annoying. Escape stops the animation and I do it pretty much every time. Old and crotchety I may be but it wouldn't break my heart if we stayed away from them.
nope. after much experimenting I find dock/undock is the culprit. Every time I reboot, I need to do this to re-skin the bar. Am I the only one with the "ghost" problem? That is, the bar slides down (top docked) from time-to-time but is only an image of the real dock. Mouse-over hides the dock and then the real one comes down. Gravity?
It's looking good in theory here. At this point in the beta (1.99b) there are some real issues, particularly re the skinning. I have faith that Stardock is monitoring the forum and newsgroups however and that these are being addressed. FWIW, OB has become the most important navigation tool for me and the most critical part of the whole OD suite.

Sorry it took me a while to get back. Work interferes again! It turns out the problem is caused by the latest beta of Weather Pulse. It was one of those quick update things that I forgot about and happened about the same time as I was finding other problems with OB 1.99 so I mistakenly assumed that was the culprit.
I lied. It's the "do not restrict the size of this bar" option that allows the skin thing to work right (for me anyway)
update on the taskbar issue - this is caused by the latest update to weather pulse and has nothing to do with Stardock. The "ghost" issue persists though.

I'm starting to go nuts here. I've set the taskbar to auto-hide using the inherent xp api. Hides just fine but any new window opens leaving room for the taskbar anyway. I can fix it by undoing and re-doing auto-hide but that's really annoying. I get a ghost bar showing up at odd moments. What I mean is the auto-hidden bar will suddenly appear without any reason I can figure. This bar isn't clickable - if I hover the cursor over the bar and click elsewhere, the bar will hide then the real bar shows up.
