I'm with Heavenfall on this. Making creatures randomly appear out of nowhere to wail on the player just because he's winning is a big turnoff for me. I'm okay with the other players getting together to oppose the leading player (whether AI or human), as that's occurring within the game rules, and is a natural aspect of how they should be playing anyway. That said, it shouldn't be that all players suddenly go a
I also agree 1000% that we need a better artifact-sharing tool. Possible options would be: - a vault allowing you to store and retrieve artifacts while in your ZoC (kind of like the shop, only for free ) - a "teleport artifact" spell like the one in AoW (slightly less costly and advanced than Cloud Walk, perhaps?) - a "packmule" unit or ability which allows us to send artifacts to different locations vi

Seems to be intended. Hmm... might be the case but doesn't make sense... right? Ogres are not naturally magically. I thought they mostly lived in their own dung. AOW:SM did not have a 'vault' but it did allow each hero to carry (not the same as equipping) items and allowed you to teleport items to any hero you wanted. Teleporting items cost an amount of mana based on how far away the target hero was. Loved this system.
Quoting ErikCurre, reply 32 @Heavenfall: late game events caused by dominating could make sense if they fit well into the gameworld and the lore. Agreed, it would feel cheap if a bunch of dragons simply popped into existence for no reason. But what if there was some nice setup? Not sure if events can be chained together, but how about this: you get a pop-up explaining that there is an ancient evil waking in the land,
Just curious if many players have been getting random events so far. I think I got the Meteor Shower one but the actual painting never showed.
I have never seen a random event in FE or for that matter in WOM. Guess I have just been unlucky. When the game goes live I will defantly have to adjust those odds from 1/10,000 to somthing resaonable like 1/50.

Isn't the whole point of the beta to iron out the issues of the vanilla game first? I can understand having a late beta phase where you want modders to test the modding tools. Mostly it is just practice. Also, I like to do some of my own ironing.
Ok that makes sense<

I'll even save the saves every 50 turns so you can pick which part of the video you want to play and test things yourself. It will be like time travel. If you block the route from the city to the Outpost then you would have only so many turns that the outpost can last (under Siege) based on grain produced + or Minus what ever other bo

I say no. And here are my reasons: 1) I like to be completly ignorant of what my city produces. 2) I like to just randomly pick an upgrade without knowing what it will do with the rest of the city. 3) I hate information about anything 4) If they did add this basic feature that just about all 4X games have had for years then it would be a cheap copy and not original. PS: I was joking. Of Coarse this should be in the game. It should h

But there will obviously have to be some balancing when implementing this. I, for one, don't really like the +grain and +food per grain buildings that are available, that mechanic makes little sense to me. I'd much rather have that 1 grain feeds a fixed amount of people, and if you want more grain you&#39

I've seen it. You avoid the trap of having peasants kill iron golems w/ wooden clubs because, you know, hp. And you'll have to do just as much bala

I'm sure the next Master of Orion will be Master of Orion, in spite of MOO3 Like that you're publishing on Steam. Can only mean more exposure and potential revenue. Bring on the modding! I know I said somewhere I wouldn't bother changing XML elements...but if I'm working on my own mod, that's different

I have some disposable income and I genuinely love what you've done here. Plus, I like to keep my games in one basket, so to speak. I know you said "don't ask", but I'm still curious... Also, will beta updates occur on the same day on Steam as they do to the rest of us?
Ok first off Distance yourself as far away from WOM as you possibly can. I would completely take out the word Elemental. Just call it Fallen Enchantress. Now when marketing it make sure you say "From the makers of GalCiv2 and Sins of the Solar Empire" DO NOT in any way shape or form even mention WOM. I know a few people that won't even try this game because WOM was so bad and put a bad taste in thier mouths. Even though I tried to tell them that Gal2 was a great game (and I hear t
Quoting Bellack, reply 23 Well there's supposed to be a tradeoff between expansion and growth. But my point is that if you have three high-level cities with tons of production, taking one of them offline to get the idle bonus cripples your empire's capacity. But if you have a dozen crappy level-2 cities taking one of them offline has a negligible effect. Which I don't
