Really, it's yet another unnecessary advantage for city-spammers. tbh i dont see this cities are just plain better WHATEVER you do with them if you train ppl, build improvemnts, or idle its just better to have
Monster behavior AI needs some serious love. I had a post a while back about monsters decimating towns that was something like this: When a monster attacks a town (and wins), it should make that town its new lair. Depending on the population of the town, there'd be a number of turns that you could retrieve the town (with some damage, and a drastically reduced population) before the whole thing just poofed into a
Quoting klaxton499, reply 15 I find myself leaning toward awarding governors XP based on a fraction of the city's output each turn (gildar, research, and production). I should have been more clear in my thoughts. The main reason to base an administrator's XP on city output is so the XP will grow throughout the game. As game time elapses and cities grow, administrative characters w
@Goon.. Well I guess I see how this was missed.. but lets look at it this way: You have a town or a Conclave both with +50% gildar and +50% research while idle, but you also have a governor in that city for growth/unrest bonuses, that is not gaining experience because you are utilizing the idle bonus. On the other side of things, lets say you don't have any idle bonuses, but have finished constructing all the buildings you need in

I'd like to see some Resoln spider cavalry (the sprite does exist already)
They should make the Spiders as strong as they do in Warlock: Masters of the Arcane. Fighting spiders in that game can be a bit$h with there Webbing and all.
The monsters don't care who owns the city or unit.
Then there must be a bug because the monsters don't seem to agree with your statement in many cases. The monsters AI needs to be agressive they need to take/destroy cities, Outpost and kill units of both the Players and the Player AI. The should be FEARED. Currently it is a hit or miss kinda thing. And are not very scary.
I agree with adding a radius but also keeping the random wandering that is currently in the game. I fully agree with Joasoze the game needs to be dangerous and Unpredictable.
In AOW:SM when a city is idle it automatically converts is productivity points it generates into gold per turn based on the size and any production bonuses the city has. It is simple and you don't waste an ability to give it this ability. So if there is nothing in a que for a city don't worry your getting cash from it.
I agree with some of what you said and disagree with others. (I like essense more choices.) STOR is a very good game however the Space Combat is lame as hell. I much perfer CIV5 over any other CIV game (And I have been playing them since the 1st civ game came out.) Since I love tactical combat in games the CIV5 while not actully having Tactical combat per say does turn the whole mape into a big Tactical combat game which I love. I also Like Warlock which is basically a Fantasy version o

The game has plenty of good, some bad, but having oversized non-AA'd badly designed fontblast from the past is the only thing that I just can't handle in a modern game. I do think the 1 hp champs shouldn't be able to defend towns, meaby put in a "hospital" building for them to hide in (so you'll have to pull them out when they are healed, a bit like the resurrect hero mechanic from heroes 6). Can the music files be replaced with our own mp3s (e.g. the Age of Wonders II soundtrack) so that those play instead in-game?
