[quote who="Mortenart" reply="131" id="3187458"] The game is really coming along - apart from one massive game-breaker - the enemy's champions keep coming back, making it impossible to defeat any enemy. Please lose this crazy mechanism, by which all champions are immortal. I don't mind losing mine, as long as the enemy loses theirs. I had to quit the game I was playing, because they just kept coming at me - it's ludicrous.

[quote who="Mtrixis" reply="3" id="3061374"]Heroes not dying isn't a problem, it's a design decision - I think the 'penalties' from dying are pretty elegant actually, and the enforced multi-turn out of comission is also a worthy penalty. If you don't think so, play on the higher difficulties - the AI simply isn't aggressive on normal, but above that, you can lose cities due to heroes being out of comission. I'd rather have the penalty system t
My list would be: 1) NAVEL UNITS A MUST IN 4X GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't understand why people would not want this. And sea monsters of coarse. As it stands the maps feel very small and underwelming. And with the naval units should come navy combat (Tactical Battles.) 2) Other worlds like in AOW or MOM (and even Warlock) would be great (Again I fail to understand why anyone would not want this in the game.) I would not have bought Sins at all if it was not on Steam. And by the way you can run Steam games in offline mode. So this concern you have is a moot point. You have to log into steam once and change setting to offline mode. Then from that point on until you want to change it you can run offline.

I said that to get Steam to work on offline mode you have to be online first, as you admited, and that being necessary to go online for you to activate offline mode defeats the purpose of offline mode. Valve is a wonderful game developer with some really great games, but Steam's DRM still goes too far. For online-only games it's not bad, but banning people from singleplayer is a dick move. Even if I trust Valve not to abuse that little feature, there's no guarantee they won'

[quote quoting="post"]Considering that power ranking seems to be what the AI uses to evaluate its ability to face you, it needs to be accurate, but right now, that rating seems to think that if a faction can just get enough companies of spearmen, they can threaten that 50-defense champion. Hence, a party of 3 would gain experaince faster than a group of 5 because fewer troops have to do more work. The flip side, of course, is that if you are able to put in the time into the larger groups, their combat output can become significantly better. Exactly the rationale behind the suggestion.
[quote who="joasoze" reply="1" id="3169413"]Good work there. The easy solution would be allowing us to upgrade unit sizes. The groups with 3 members that I use early game, I get quite attached to and want to keep. I think we should (for a price) be allowed to upgrade, but that the group should go down two levels (or something like that) to indicate that you have added rookies to your experienced group.
