Quoting unacomn, reply 3 Hmm, any plans of adding upkeep for units? Pretty sure they already have an upkeep. When I was playing last, I was in my budget window and noticed a "Wages" entry. I assumed this was army wages.
Your playing FE now.....How?
They should just copy or buy the tactical battles from Kings Bounty Best there is
No lets not. Kings Bounty is fun but the tactical battles are basically chess like battles. For WOM and E:FE I would like it to look more like figting in terrain that the untis meet in. Something more akin to AOW:SM but more modern looking.
I just got another idea that might help with champions and combat. I think we can all agree that int and cha are mostly dump stats. While they do have a place in the game, other stats like strength and con overshadow them. So here is a way to potentially spice up these two attributes. Int: In addition to its current effects (spells), this would determine how many soldiers could be led in an army (units not counting in

I really can't see players keeping their sovereign in the city initially. It's more fun to explore. I think people always will choose the fun option , especially since when it goes bad you just save and reload.
I'll keep them in the city much like I
Agree with Bellack here. Both AD&Ds were pretty broken in many aspects. Enjoyable? Yes. Broken? Yeah.. Just the concept of 18/ strength stil gives me the creeps.. 16 str gives +1 damage, no hit bonus? Yup, have to have a pure 18 with percentages. Just how many people honestly roll 18s when making their characters?
I knew many people who have "rolled" 18:00. It was amazing how the 18's seem to out number all the other number

I personally couldn't stomach 3.0+, they pretty much lost me when they broke everything in 3.0(aka the d20 system) .
That is funny.
3.0 has been around for 13 years? Man I feel old... I can still remember playing with the red boxed set of D&D back when there were no editions, just plain D&D. After that came AD&D, apparently that was AD&D 1st edition, since after it came a 2nd ed. Played through all the versions (along with various other rpgs) but didn't like the direction 4.0 took, so never migrated to that one.
3.5 is the best D&D rule

WOM has been in development for years now (game+patches) and they still don't have a clue how to do a good combat system. It would be best to use a already established balanced one or go super simple like Civilization. WHY in (insert your suprem
Quoting kapeman, reply 3 With regards to specialization, wouldn't it make sense to get a bonus for having more of a specific building type in a city? I guess that's what the % bonus buildings and level up bonuses are for: you get more bang out of them if you have more of the basic production buildings in the first place. so this change doesn't really make much dif
Quoting Trojasmic, reply 6 Since Brad is the best AI guy and he's working on EWOM, who's working on the AI in EFE? Should we be worried? I like the idea of an AI dev diary too because the AI is something that needs to be solid in EFE since it wasn't in EWOM. Actually, I forgot to ask. Do we even have AI in EFE or did Derek pull it out?
Except it all is caused by poor balance, and adjusting stats would fix it all. While yes simultaneous combat helps the AI and works around the glass cannon problem, it does so by removing complexity and strategy to make up for dumb AI and poor balance. With simultaneous combat why would I ever bother do tactical combat, except to spam magic. Tactical combat has taken a large step closer to becoming pointless window dressing that lacks any strategy

I was hoping for a goos successor to AOW:SM The problem here though is that not all of us thought AoW:SM was that great. I for one did not enjoy that game nearly as much as I have enjoyed WoM. In general, the AoW series attempts to be a fundamentally different experience than that which was presented in WoM, with tactica
First and foremost I wanted WoM to be a good successor to Master of Magic finally, which it utterly failed to do. Dynasties, Good AI, modding where all very nice extras but they were still extras (actually modding became less of an extra after it was promised during beta as a remedy to some of the rather unpopular directions they were taking the game). If they can just make a good successor to Master of Magic, then FE will be a success

Thanks for the welcome, and yes, if I play the game enough, I will post how I find it. I don't play multiplayer in games unless it is an MMORPG, so I won't be any help there. Look this is not Blizzard who has one of the best Customer support system of any gaming company at lest in my experiance. Stardock is a much smaller company and they are not a Primay GAMING company. Perhaps you should learn a little patients and stop being a drama queeen. They will get to your issue when they get back into work.
