Your sovereign is the powerful Channeler who generates +1 mana per turn. Each time you capture a shard (which in v1.1 willl have 1 seeded near where you start) it will provide +1 mana also as well as amplify certain spells. When you imbue a champion, it costs -1 mana to maintain. When you summon a creature, it will cost -1 mana to maintain. Thus, if you want an army of spell casters, it comes at the cost of having your sovereign

Well I have played on the highest setting since the game came out. Both Kingdom and Empire and have never lost until yesterday to the AI. Which was a welcomed surprise. This AI empire became rather aggressive and attacked me not with a stack of one guy here and one guy there like the AI has always done in the past. They actually came at me at full force. And the Sovereign was (not I hope your sitting down for this) well guarded. Needles to say I was shocked when my 2 main cities
The problem is the weapons differ merely in a linear progression of stats. They need to be shifted around somewhere, for example make the shortbow quicker than the longbow. In fact, ideally make the shortbow more accurate with lower damage, and the longbow higher damage with less accuracy. It's then a choice between chipping away slowly at the target health, or a gamble on causing serious damage with a much higher chance of missing.
There's clearly a lack of real QA, which pisses me off, because it shows an arrogant disregard for their customers.
Really? It was a simple mistake nothing to get your panties in a wad over...geez. And no I'm no fanboy (I hate fanboys) but your really going overboard here.

No-one is saying they are entitled to a "better game" because they got the LE Edition instead of the Normal edition. This is exactly what you're saying As long as they live up to the original design intentions and DON'T make me pay another $70 bucks (LE edition here) for it I'll be happy. ...<br

I think the term 'EPIC' means something different to each one of us. I don't agree that Lore makes a TBS game epic. CIV4, DOM3 and Total War are what I would call an Epic game. The reason is scale. CIV4 is about massive armies that you control to conquror the world. While games like MoM and AOW would me less epic in scale but they muck up for it with the RPG element in them. Yes you can have a awsome battles in AOW and MOM that can be more fun than

That being said, there is something to be said for having a "balanced start" option like civ IV had for the players who can't handle having to think outside the box. 1 more point I should let you in on. Well I would like the following options to choose from when I start a game. Pick from the following optiong: 1) To have Balance starting resources (fertail land, gold mine, Iron mine, and Liberary) near starting area. 2) To have at least one fertail land and a random number of additional random resources within starting distance. Perhapes we can even pick a number. 3) Be totaly random. Which should include a chance that no resources can be
Ok but allowing all stackes adjacent to the square being attacked to enter TB combat would not be Total Warish it would be AOW/MoMish. I'm not talking about the double the army size part that is a different issue all togather.

Supposedly this is a dangerous world, crawling with beasts, monsters and bandits with nary a sign of civilization. Enter your sovereign and a couple of people. I don't see how a tiny town is able to dominate so much land. I'm not talking about the current rate, which I think -- for me -- is great early on especially.

Having to manage 20 cities - own and captured from the AI (and you cannot raise them coz the AI will rebuild them ASAP) takes away all the fun. Not to mention there is no warnings when enemy/brigands/monsters enter you teritorry so you will have to disable the "auto end of turn" feature and manually check

I also think that the current ZoC is just right, especially early on, and maybe a little too fast later. It would seem odd to me to have small cities somehow controlling large swaths of land. Sure, as you gain power and research the right techs, you ought to be able to control
