First, my current is the first game in which I've seen an AI build an evil-only building. So thats a good thing. However the one they (2 did this) built was the Artificial Slave Center; and I already had one for some time. I just wasn't aware that there could be more than one in a game. Is it supposed to be possible to have more than one? My other question is, when I take the AI planet that has this improvment on it, will it stack with the one I already have? Will my ships p

Iztok... welcome back [e digicons]:D[/e] It's Good to see you.
I have recently adopted the buy-conquored-planets strategy. When i see a planet with about 1 billion or below i trade for it. Its one less planet I will have to get later and it also adds to my influence. Most importantly those planets usually give me a foot hold in an area of the galaxy I wouldn't normally be for some time. Your specific situation may be different than mine though: a) I had the Resturant of Eternity and a few influence resoiurces. So i didnt worry about those
One more thing to consider. I don't know how many you'll have on your map with those settings, but the AI never colonizes PQ1 worlds. These will become PQ16 to PQ19 planets when fully terraformed. Going neutral or haveing an orbital terraformer will help. Keep these planets in mind as the game goes on.
{ [e digicons]5*[/e] 00 } Here neilo you can put this after each post. Heck, after 500 wins the medal should be named after you. "H
what a good strategy playing in a universe with hardly any habitable planet beside your own two. 4 other civilization and 0 minors. Im playing with no superpower too btw. So far i been doing mass research lab on my main planet, but im pretty sure there better strats! thx
Sounds very challenging. I never actually play with that few planets, but I'll give a small piece of advice anyway. Make sure you have a good number of economic buildings not just labs. Whil
I'm so lazy. I generally build medium and large hulled ships. Since fleets move at the speed of the slowest ship and i like to have a decent speed, small hulls get pushed out or just become fleets of their own. I just take the ships that are built and move them in the general direction of my enemy, or soon-to-be enemy. When a few meet, I fleet them. I could have 3 large or 5 medium or any mix. I don't make my fleets too big though since it becomes overkill. Maybe after the first onsla
I'm thinking that its the all-abundant galaxy that got them going; gave them some room perhaps or time to get a colony ship while there were still planets available. Usually the minors just hog all the resources...which keeps them safe from enemies until i'm ready. I wonder if the AI looks at the futre costs of colonies and makes a decision based on that. That was a good point GW. I'm thinking that the race with the massive soldering was the benefitiary of the event where they
... and I hope to get to 20. lol Thats really some feat. [e digicons]:omg:[/e] It seems not all that long ago there was the disciussion about your 250 win medal. The medal listing shows like 5 achievment medals that no one seems to have anywhere. There have been a few threads discussing players' ideas on what these could be for. I'm not sure how much thought the metaverse is getting these days.
bump? [e digicons]x_x[/e]
No bugs or weird happenings to report. Just thought I'd share some things from my current game that might be interesting. I notice that a lot of people report vastly different experiences while playing. Some say certain things never happen while others say it always does. Playing on large, all-abundant obscene with 8 minors and 6 majors, Dark Avatar. I have, in the past, had a minor colonize another planet, but in this game I have 4 FOUR of them do it. One of those actu
Why would 20k be a bad thing? Sure, you take a hit to your economy, but only until you get back down to 20k. If the hit makes you lose money, just blow the excess instantly on something.
George Simpson . I was agreeing with your post until i read GW Swicord's answer. I just want to add
By the end of the game I might have a miner for every asteroid, otherwise the may never get fully built. The research cost for the mining techs are kinda high, however the AI will pay BIG $$ for those techs. Mininers are very cheap and quick to build so I do. IT might take a lot of turns but its still more industry that you would otherwise not have. Luckily though, the AI doesn't really target them during a war. If a planet is getting a bonus from an ecoinomic starbase and has asteroi
... and I play almost exclusively in 3D mode. Zoomed out to where it just stays 3D. Of course you CAN get all the info you need without being zoomed in but I like being able to see the number of ships in a fleet and see that a strabase isn't finished (its too bad that they do looked finished before they are). I like To be able to see hwt ships I'm moving and what ships I'm attacking, without clicking everything. After a while I know what the strength is of an AI ships by looking at it. And of
Congrats... and nice score. I better finish my game soon before I fall in the rankings. I wonder what the multiplier is for ascension vicotories.
My first participation as an accomplice thread jacker... I feel icky. They were lemurs and the song was... OK I'll spare you. I think it began with Toy Story, but using celebrity voices is what made the kid movies stand out to adults too.
NOOOOooo Loup.. MADAGASCAR 2 coming to a theater near you. In November though. I can't wait, I'm gonna force the kids to go. lol I hear Wall-E was a bit boring so maybe you didn't miss too much.
My neice just loves that squirell...
I so root for that guy.
I've of course heard about it but I don't know much about global economies. I know no one really want s to bail out these companies and I'm not even sure which party initiated the idea, but i think it's a necessary evil at this point, the government cant just let these companies collapse without it hurting the economy even more. Paying out all that money sucks, but I think it will be even worse for us taxpayers if they don't. But I agree, I'll be even more pissed if I have to

I have only one ZYW so I don't have too much in the way of advice, but ehere goes anyway: The key is really how much research you can get done and how much you can buy with the money you start with; there is not much time to have things built while your sliders are 100% on research. So the trick is to reserach things in the best order and purchas structures you need. First, avoid having to get life support for range so only play a map that allows you to get to the AI without i
TERMINATOR sequels. omg !!! [e digicons]x_x[/e] The first was an original idea so I could take what was presented. But the sequels just got worse and worse. From a sci-fi standpoint fans can accept almost anything that is in the movie (lasers, light speed, teleporters, timetravel etc) but don't accept things that just dont make sence. Creating a paradox with time travel is a sure way to raise the ire of sci-fi fans. If sky net never exists then none of this would ever have
Food allows a rise in the maximum population of a planet. As long as your morale is "high enough" you will get an increase in population. The thresholds of "high enough" are: 100% approval twice the growth rate (4x with the torian super ability); 75% morale gives another bonus to population growth but I forget what that is. At or above 42% will grant growth without bonuses, below 42% will mean no growth. At 21% or less you lose population. A planet's morale will decrease automatically
I havne't done this yet, but I suppose you can build a farm on a 300% tile and as long as you leave your morale level somewhat static the planet should grow until it reaches a morale of 41% and then just stop growing. Now if you lower taxes to get a morale boost and then lower them you may find that the palnet's morale may be too low but as long as its above 20% (?) you won't lose any people.
If I build the Frictionless Clothing trade good next to a Fertility Clinic will I get a morale boost for the planet? Those passive bonuses are vital, I never trade past one. I have considered trading better techs to the AI just so they won't get the bonus. I'm just guessing that they won't go backward on the tree.
