Back on topic.... sort of: Would negative karma then make your ships go slower? And what if you're in Yor space at the time? Does and interdiction field have any affect? BTW i like both waffles and cake. And I was going to give you karma JUST to make your post inaccurate.

Have I mentioned being able to actually see the AI's tech tree? MAybe color coded to see what techs you have in common.
My recent posts don't seem to ever update, the list looks the same now as it did at 7:30 this morning (it 2:20 PM now). Since i like to look at this list to see what topics are being discussed, when its working, I would like it limited to Galciv topics, that's what I come here for. Out of the top 10, about 5 have something to do with Impulse. Perhaps its a way of advertising their other products.
I have seen them go beyond "leaning" toward an alignment and actually picking one. I assume that they all picked what they were supposed to. However I have yet to see the AI construct any of the one-of-a-kind alignment specific structures. NLC's are the most I've seen from the AI. So if you're good or neutral, don't count on having a chance to conquer a planet with a mind control center or anything like that. I saw an AI almost build the neutral structure that gives money for
i like how some pieces are so enlarged i didn't recognize them.
Perhaps you should take their advice and bring it back to the store. The serial number should be on a sticker on the CD case. Could you have bought a used copy?
This is best for DA I think, but can work in TA as well. I would like the branches of the tech tree to continue. Not necessarily graphically, but I think each branch, or most branches, should have additional discoveries that can give percent bonuses to your abilities. So you can get a +1% to diplomacy, economics, weapons, etc. after you have completed that branch. I guess the green and pink branches won't continue. The idea isn't to be able to continue on a branch to super size
I was just fumbling around the Metaverse rankings and scores and noticed that the forum scores have not changed in some time. I'm figuring no one really pays too much attention to them compared to Empire scores, but I was also wondering if these are ever updated or will they be?
Are you asking me a question ortelling tod something because you spelling and grammer isn't good.
Oh the irony... Ok, time to act my age and stop fueling this.
I picture Gollum having that conversation with himself at the Dead Marshes. Nasty Tricksies.
Seth, do you actually speak out loud to yourself as you have these forum arguments with your "brother"?
WOW I didn't know he did magic too.
OOPS !!! That was supposed to say PQ-1. My previous post was referring to all the PQ 1 planets not the PQ-0's. The AI won't touch a PQ 1 whether its extreme or not. Thanks Loup
Another thing that you can do that hasn't been stated is to get the first terraforming tech and colonize the PQ-0 worlds around you. The AI will never go to those and they will become very nice planets one you have all the terraforming techs. I usually get PQ16's out of them. If you go neutral or eventually build the orbital terraformer, you won't have to wait for the tiles to become usable. In my early games I ignored these, but now i go for a trird colony rush and colonize all of them
I cast my 2 votes for Lego. My son is 4 and a bit young for this stuff but he wants it and I can't wait for him to get some small stuff for his next birthday. He just better keeps his hands off. :p Is it legal to mix Lego Indiana Jones and Lego Star Wars?
1 million colonists will automatically appear and you can grab one of the center planets.
REALLY !??! I had no idea that upgrading to a colony ship gave it colonists.
we *did* start doing that in the late '70s.
Exactly my point in that we should have been doing something all along and politics and GREED put an end to it. Its the same now, with some party's votes tied to environmental groups things like drilling for oil won't be done.
The price signs at the station would be less scary if we were paying by the litre,
We could just list the price per quart then. But still, i know I'd rather have my 3
but what I really want is a mega-battery that can survive having a lightning bolt routed through it and come out holding a worthwhile chunk of the bolt in storage. Screw the wind farms; a tech like that would make Florida the next Saudi Arabia.
Agreed, its a tremendous source of power that we don't know how to harness-yet. Now just to know where to park your car so it gets struck. If it can get a Flux-capacitor up and running...or do you have to be moving at the time
With only 2 planets you may have a good amount of cash still in your treasury. As the AI values planets based on their populations, perhaps you can buy some planets as they get colonized. In this regard diplomacy techs can help you. Keep in mind though that after getting a trade with a civ you will have to wait a while before speaking to the again. To answer your question, getting your population higher is how you would go about increasing your influence. You can also build embassies. I
Better for winning games, but probably not as good for scoring purposes.
Could be true but having a planet flip with 6 billion people on it rather than invading and having about 1 billion left is a good thing for your economic score. Also since this can happen faster than invading alone (assuming you're doing both) you have more time to get a higher score since you'll have those planets earlier. But this is just speculation on what would give a higher score. You still may
Keep in mind that on cakewalk your ALLIES are the stupid ones. The Dread Lords might be just as dumb but i believe they start with great weapons. Its no wonder the allies you had were acting as you described.
I always had the feeling that the MCC working properly would be a stronger structure than it was with the 100% bonus. Many didn't want this fixed but it seems like it can win games better than the old way did. It would be nice though if the AI would ever build these, or any other one-of-a-kind ethic specific building. i ALMOST saw an AI build that neutral structure that gives income from other neutrals' tourism income. So if you have the Restaurant at the End of the Universe er
I would like to have planet flips listed on the events page. AND Have the AI create a custom opponent. The AI will choose all of the same things that a human would when creating a custom race. This way you won't really know what you're up against.
cease to exist after the conversation is over.
How eerie.
Well I can't leave cause I haven't been voted in. Beside I want to be here to watch it implode or something. I feel like I'm one of those people standing on top of the skyscraper in the movie Independence Day, just as the ship fires...
