This happens to me all the time in DA 1.61. I just got used to checking on my miners when they moved. At worst you'll lose one turn of mining since, if it doesnt start mining automatically, the next turn the ship ill be highlighted looking for orders.
Ok well as I'm playing a couple of things came to me and i figued i'd ask: this is all DA btw. 1) When i conquor an AI planet sometime i dont steal any techs vn though i know they have some that i don't. Do i need to win by some margin to get a tech or is it a die roll that determines if i shoud get one? 2) When a planet of yours is not building anything, the social production goes right to the ship building production, right? Is that a 1:1 ratio? If so, in the la
The defences are really only usless much later in the game i think. Those fully defended AI starbases are off limits until much stronger fleets can be built.
and after a certain miniturization tech, the hyperion shrinker is available, build it.
I had an idea once for the UP. Where you can use the trad screen to see what your allies or maybe close relation AI's where going to vote and trade with them to vote your way. It would be better too if the AI could try to get you to chnge. I said allies because it would give some meaning to them outside of the victory condition. I think it would be nice if the UP voted for a president, maybe based on popularity, influence and population morale. The president would get a list of topics
I think its just easier to leave a fleet of war ships there. It takes longer to build than constructors but in the end you will save time AND you can move them once the front line or war moves far enough from your bases. I belive that an enemy fleet houkld attack your fleet first but i do forget the exact way that targets are chosen. Biggest threat or easiest target? i find that my fleets usually get attacked first. If i have an extra constuctior i will get the basic weapons for star
Luckily i haven't gotten the jagged knife event yet (thats the second one you got).
I think Terror Stars were created so that we COULDN't destroy just a planet. I think this way it makes the player have to choose when and where to us it more wisely. Do you destroy a high PQ planet along with the others? What if another AI is in the sytem, ready to go to war with thm too? I like it this way. Being able to go after individual planets i think would make it too ummm powerful, that is, for the player to use, not in firepower.
i never pressed the F keys. i gotta try it now. thanks.
12. Maybe have a unique symbol or planet pic for any of the capitals (economic/manufacturing/etc).
BINGO !!
I think i'll just add a little to what Loups said. Notice first, that most of his suggestions deal with your economy, this is the hardest thing to get going early on but once its strong you're on your way. I tend to build a factory first, then 2 markets and then more factories. Remember that you can build over a structure later so don't worry about using up too many tiles. Also, you cn choose what planets will be your cash cows later, evn if they have factories and stuff on
Super Spy is one of the weaker super abilities Well, they get freely the tech that allows to build the counter espionnage center which can be an invaluable building on key planets
They still have one of the weakest abilities. Even whn i have th tech, as any race, i seldomly build the center. Its not really worth the loss of a tile for the ocassional AI spy presence. Not sure if thy'll still have the same super ability in TA but if they do, it needs to be tweeked. HAl
I have a rediculous question, what screen are you guys talking about? I didnt know there was a planet list somewhere.
Don't let the flipped planet notification come up during the GNN Report between turns. In the Foreign Relations screen, let us see what planets AI capitals are on and where any Galactic Acheivements, etc. can be found. SAme for our own special structures in the colony screen. An elected UP president who gets to pick what the next topic for vote will be on.
Awesome!!! I hate to ask for anything since you're already adding so much to the game, BUT... Is there a way the we could do a serach for special buildings? What i mean is, for the AI structures, maybe on the Report screen or something, have a place where we can see what planets they have their capitals (economic, technological, manufacturing, political, etc) on. Of course as long as its on a planet thats not still in the grayed out araea of the map. It just takes so long to find a
I dont think we necessarily need MORE gov't types, but sometimes more choices is bettr. What has been suggested on other threads by other people is somthing like Governmnt types that dont just get better as you reserach thechs, but types that have good points and better points and it depends on where you are in game that can make you choose one over the other. For instance maybe Fereration can still give the 30% economic bouns but with more freedoms it becomes harder to keep people happy and yo
For #1 i believe that its JUST a picture of your [planet and its a bug or something that some don't have it.
I'm imagining Terran teenagers going all Goth/Death Metal, and thinking the Korath are real bad-@sses that should be admired and emulated.
And that would probably happen too. Very Funny.
The Yor are NOT barred from an influnce victory. If you conquor 75% of the galaxy you can achieve an influence victory. Its that simple. As its stands now, i flip all kinds of planets without ever building any influence starbases. So the Yor CAN do it with fewer modules availabe. Now if they also cant have the resturant of eternity, or stock exchanges (or whatever influence type structure they may have) then maybe it will be near impossible for them to flip plnets. But they can still ge
I thought this was a well known problem. AT every realod all influence areas are shrunk. causes loss of tourism income and a loss of 2 tries at flipping planets. If you're like me this can be a big problem since i dont get too many turns in before i have to close. so i'm constantly not at my full influense. in a somewhat related topic, at some reloads i get told that all of my ships are ot of range, even the ones in my OWN space. BTW i'm currently playing DA 1.61.
I gotta go with Hello Kitty.
never mind... it was already said.
I've been messing around more with the Torians of late, but I have absolutely no problems using them to flip Yor planets like nobody's business. The loyalty bonus simply isn't nearly enough to balance out the loss of influence as it stands right now.
The Yor are harder to flip that some other races but their not supposed to be imune from it. The loss of starbase modules in TA won't really change anything for the AI ince I've never seen it build influence starbases to def
Lately I've been getting this lot. wherethe TURN button at the bottom is blank and i cant end my turn. Since i'm here i want to mntion that i occassionally get this message on the frst turn of my play time that my ships are out of range, even though they are in my space. I think it has to do with that thing with the influence resetting when you start up the game. Is this bing fixed now?
