Quick question: Do Dread Lord games count in the metaverse the same way that Dark Avatar ones do? Do they count towards mecal the same way? thanks

I guess i wouldn't mind some changes to the espio,,,, i mean the spying in this game. But i don't think they should become too powerful. The spies in this game are a side note and should remain a small "help" to your civ. I don't mind it the way it is but i see there there is potential for more / better abilities. However, the more they can do the more complocated they will be and the more management they will require. Also, i think giving spies the ability to destroy an improvbement
What a totally worthless ability that is.
Sorry but i disagree. I think this is one of the most powerful super abilities. I think if you use it you will see why. If your ships dont have defenses you will notice that you will talke damage even if you have 10X the offense of your enemy; because they can fire back. If you attack with a huge fleets of small shipos you can still lose a couple. With the super warrior, when you attack, you can get out withoput the lose of a si
+ Event Log: List that keeps track of the major events that occur throughout each game
I think this is great. But if i may humbly ask "please sir, may i have more...?" (i can just hear the Guy from the movie / play Oliver...) "MOOOOooooooore ?!?!" Anyway, Is there a way that planet flipping can also be recorded as an event? It seems the message always pops up when im on another planet screen and i miss the name of the planet and i gotta go searching. ANd maybe f
Right, and thats exactly why the battles were changed in the first place. In DL this was the case all the time. People were, in fact, usinging weapon heavy cargo hulls with no defence. And it worked. So with the super warrior ability it can also be used.
I don't know if i pay enough attention to the planet screen to notice 3D mountains or clouds. I'm pretty much looking at all the nice green squares. I really think time and effort could be better spent else where. Like Mr Vegetable said, on the suggestions we had in the other threads. can i repeat my ideas for more use for diplomacy..? i won't get this started as that kinda thread (but they were good ideas lol) i like Seilore's idea of AI portraits. We see them many toimes a game and
See and i do the opposite. I build factories and buy colony ships. usually during that phase of the game my home planet is really the one that has the population to fill a colony ship. Also for other worlds to be building those they will need those facories AND starbases. I guess you do either. I will add that i only buy the first colony ship on the frst turn, after that i will let a couple of turns go by before buying so i dont pay as much. i try to pay less than 1000. As far as how
I havent played as good yet. I plan to but i do hope that at some point a list, an accurate list, of all the things you can get with each alignment will be created. Like for good, the manualk says that theres no maintenance cost for the initaial colony structure for the 5 most populous planets. By the time i could getthat i wouldnt be worried about the relative small cost of those buildings and what does the population have to do with it? Hey maybe even an accurate list of galactic
Lets make each and every planet play like a full blown game of Civilization. To be real, each planet should have a vast array of cities, different cultures and structures. Maybe each battle could be a full campain of a first person shooter. This game should be in real time. It should take YEARS to reseach technologies and build structures. weeks? C'mon it takes months just to get plans approved. Sorry but i just get tired of the "this isnt realistic" argument.
They're MINI soldiers.
I imagine that having a military starbase with ship-aiding modules will stack with that?
I don't think it will JUST be the Yor left out. Other races will have unique building s that may not (or maybe they will) be useful on bonus tiles. Will a Drengin slave pit benefit from a production bonus?
What was your research spending like?
I've noticed that building an improvemnt from scratch will take the same time as an upgrade, so naturally i construct the new building first. But i would think that going from a manufacturing center to and industrial sector should be faster than building an industrial sectior on an empyty tile.
By the time my home planet is complete, i usually have 4-5 production buildings 4-5 ecomoic buildings, 1 moral, 1-2 labs, starport and probaby one of the earlier wonders. If i dont come across a better planet, i will use my capital as my economic capital since it already has a higher pop limit. Most of my planets wind up as mixed planets, except for the technologic and manufacturing capitasl, but even the tech capital will havce some factories at the beginging to get things built. The l
I think they can unbalance a game, but then who says that all races in a galaxy will be equal? Just as long as it doesnt make it too easy for me, but then i could always raise the difficulty. When playing against the Drath, yea i make sure im nice to them because of their super ability, that thats good, that i have to treeat different races differently. But all in all i dontthink the superablitities are that powerful for anyone that they can cause the gamne to be too hard or too easy. T
It was previously mentioned, and I agree, this is not an exploit but a strategy. One that i will never use but i still don't see what there is to "fix". basically it just manes that you one build one type of building on all your planets and then use the spending slides and focus to either reseach or build. So in this stategy you can only do one at a time well, making it a stargy for those who like to work that way. An expolit would be finding away to get both, like cheating. Personally i like to
Kryo: No i'm playing with the patch before that. 1.6ish. It may not even be a problem since i didn't know that a race's base ethics figured into it.
How weird its going to be when conquoring planets. So far we've seen the example of a good race taking over Drengin Slave Pits. But think about the You getting a planet full of moral buildings. and other cases when the existing planet improvement may be useless to the conquoring heroes. I think its cool though, Like you'll have to "convert" the planet into one that more resebles your race. Maybe ill even use some improvement-destroying invasion tactics. I do wonder now if this means t
Reminds me of my office. you get lemonade?!?!?
I had no idea that a race's natural alignment played into it at all. I was playing as that Alterians. Could that be why it came out good? if i had known, there were a few3 evil choices that i would have liked to take but didnt so that i could stay neutral.
First, in my current game i chose the neutral choice each of the 3 or 4 times it came up before i researched Xeno ethics. But it said i was good and i had to pay 2500 to be neutral. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Also, and this has happened before. I have 2 survey ships. After a while one says that it can detect no new anomolies and shuts off. But my other one still collects them for a few more turns. How close does one have to be to know that there are still anomolies
I just can't wait. You think the devs can maybe post like a screen shot once in a while and maybe "leak" some new building like that. Or do we need to like experience the new expansion as a whole? With all the different tech trees, does anyone know if there will be like a printed version with the game OR something on this site where we can view the tech trees?
Since only trade goods or mining resources have a civ wide effect on morale, perhaps that Galactic Resort can be changed to have the same bonus but on all of your worlds.
I had this in another rthread but it seems this is a better place to bring this up. When going through the end-of-turn planet list where the GNN tells me what was completed, i get an overlap of planets. Not only does a new planet pop up when it flips to me WHILE i was woring on one of my own planets, but the name, improvements and useable tiles don'ty match. its like the name of my planet is shown but with the improvements of the AI planet that flipped. sometimes i will even see 2 starports on t
