In my opinion, there is two major problems : 1. Pirates are (obviously) overpowered. 2. Pirates doesn't fit properly in the Sin's background. How it's possible to have a small ship more armored than a space station ? How pirates living on an asteroid can be more evolved than a space empire with billion of people, research centers, universities... ?
