So let me get this straight... Not only the wrong price is shown at Impulse, which is considered (by EU law at least) a fraud but the conversion is 1 dollar = 1 euro. Apple tried that conversion rate and they were ordered by the EU to drop it or face the consequences for discriminating european consumers.

You know you play too much Sins when: 1:You try to scroll with your browser in order to see the rest of the "Galaxy". 2:You nicknamed your bitching girlfriend "Cerebri". 3:You try to explain to everybody that jumping to a wormhole without sending a scout first is a bad idea. 4:You ransacked your house in order to find that last artifact. 5:You don't go to Wal Mart anymore because you don't want to support the TEC. 6:You are paying the sc

You forget that Sins ain't a pure 4X and it ain't a pure RTS either. What you ask is simply too difficult (if not impossible) to implement in an RTS as Sins, can you imagine having 8 A.I.s (as you mentioned) all wanting a different planet from you? Those diplomacy options that you describe are simply too time consuming for an RTS. The missions system is the only way they could bring some aspects of 4X diplomacy within the limited time confines of an RTS. Initially they wil

So i sent the save game to Ironclad (i am pretty sure that they will come after me...eventually :P) Right then i found that the auto record feature was left on and it recorded the whole thing so i uploaded it on RS and here it is: http://rapidshare.com/files/90117734/Cattle_to_the_slaughter.html Just put it at the "record single player" folder at C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire and then
On an other note i think that the trade alliance must be tweaked so it can be offered only if you are at peace with a given player, so you have given permission to his/hers tradeships to trade with but you are still blowing them up?. No. Trade alliance in and of itself gives your trade ships "permission" to be there...
Correction, i meant you are still able to blow your

@ 1spartan, i do consider that the complete destruction of a fleet that consisted of 7 capitals and roughly 100 frigates due to this a serious A.I. bug. As for a save i do have the Auto save feature on and i am sure that the game saved during that particular fight but where do i send it?

Actually fleet tactics matter. The weapons on most ships are forward firing so if you manage to hit the enemy fleet from the flank or for better results from the rear you get a few extra shots without return fire that alone will give an edge to the fleet that hits from a flank. You will notice that the "tanks" (battleships, close range frigates etc) are always on the front of a fleet while the "damage dealers" with the support vessels are on the rear (LRM frigates, carriers, re

First of all i want to congratulate Ironclad (and Stardock) for creating such a great game :) if it wasn't for this damn exam period i wouldn't stop playing. Now to the point. I was massing my fleet at one of the Suns at the Dobbleganger map, pretty big one too, when one of the AI players (all of them set to Normal difficulty) jumps in its strike fleet in order to attack one of my nearby planets. At first i thought it would turn and face my fleet given that both fleets were

I don't get it...Isn't your mac also compromised?Don't you use an antivirus with it (mac), in order to keep it safe? Its the same deal by the looks of it. BTW:How does Stardock Central (SDC) compromises your computer? Edit: Trancejeremy@: You forget something called the EULA. Which more or less states: Its illegal to resell, lend or rent this product (game). Also don't forget that by buying any game YOU (should) get tech support and multiplayer capabilities (whe

Frogboy, you point is moot. You do have copy protection. I have a legit copy of both games, but since my PC will never be connected to the net, I am unable to update my game with the newest patch. Looks like copy protection to me. When you dictate to me how I should use my hardware, you aren't any better than they are. Almost every computer game needs to be patched eventually and those patch

Hello there, I'd like to have the ability within the game to launch false flag attacks in order to influence other races against other races, and my own race against ones I want to wage war against so as not to have political opposition and loss of influence. G W Magpie6 Super manipulators is 1. Bribe them in the dimplomacy screen is 2.Thats it

They may still have to eat, but if they don't pay for it, they won't get goverment issue food .The greatest problem in the gameplay by the looks of things is starbase constructor micro, i think (and i also think everyone agrees) that something has to be done in order to make things simpler, i have already made a suggestion (see one of my previous posts) but does anyone has an other idea how to improve this

Thought of a very simple fix that would make designing new ships less painful: When upgrading an existing ship design, let all the components of the old version carry over into the design screen, not just the hull and jewelry, so you don't have to rebuild everything just to make a minor change... It already exists in the game. Back to suggestions:Capability to access the shipyard in the main menu screen. We a

Regarding the genocide capturing of planets: I don't think that you actually commit genocide, remember the actual population that shows is not everyone on the planet but everyone who is paying taxes. So in theory you don't kill everyone, if you want more people on a planet build an improved colony ship (multiple colony modules) and then sent the extra populace into the decired planet. Back to suggestions:Could someone fix the difficulty of the campaing???I am playing in cakewalk and the d

Dear Devs, I DEMAND that you include the following in the next patch: 1) The ability to switch to first person mode. I want to be able to switch to first person mode on any planet or ship, so I can explore it and look around it, and any building, room, deck there is on it. I want to be able to interact with every individual on every ship and every planet, with multiple dialogue choices, and randomly generated plots and sto

Starbase improvements:I know thats not something new but since i red some of the other posts about starbases i have come up with an idea of how to implements all these stuff. 1:Starbases are to use a different combat system. In the combat system when a ship attacks it rolls a number from zero to the max number of its attack points then the defending ship rolls a number between zero and its maximum defence points, for starbases what should always count is the maximum points (only for defence m

Its a very loooong thread and i have just read the first page but what i would like to see is: 1:Espionage improvements:Partially bring back the old espionage model.I know many people like the new agent model but think with realism in mind: Why should i sabotage improvements? This can be used against hostile races (Or races that i intend of being hostile with) but if i want to better know what my Allies are up to?Do i have to hinder their progress by sabotaging their improvements just to

The combat sim is not updated for DA's new combat system, so it will not give accurate results outside of the original game. Because the DL ship is so powerful, and because (thanks to DA's new system) it can split it's weaponsfire among all your ships, both sides end up destroying each other. When that happens, the tougher of the last ships on each side survives the battle with 1 HP (obviously, this is going to be the DL). The sim

Also run the stickied combat simulation of kryo on the top... My 5 Star fury fleet armed with 6 beam and 7 hit points each should always win over the 223 missile and 28 hit point dread lord frigate...(with casualties but 100% is a big difference from 0%)

So i am playing in the Death of korx mission in Dark avatar. My combat tactic against the dreadlords is to mass fleets of fighters armed with plasma but my main problem is that when a dread lord ship is about to die (1 hit point) and i attack it, suddenly all of its hit points are restored.I have managed to destroy only 1 escort with the price of the initial (overlord???) capital ship but every time i am about to kill any other one of their ships they just replenish their hit points!!!! I don
