then you have a hardware problem with the vid card, chances are it's not the drivers but instead of a possibly your GPU is over heating or the card is defective all together.i also have a nvidia i got the 7900 GTX and have absolutely no problems what so ever with any dreams.try another vid card if you can and see if it clears up the problem, also try one mem stick at a time and see if that helps out.you may also want to add extra fans to your system case for added cooling also check your cpu temp
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!! and remember drive safely, if you drink don't drive and if you drive don't drink

try right clicking on a blank spot on your desktop and choose "personalize" then choose "window color and appearance" in there you should be able to change the colors

try doing a system restore and see if that helps.if that doesn't help then you have to do it the hard way by doing a system repair

the asp account is really nothing, it has nothing to do with your vid card nor drivers, the asp account i think it's for msn messenger or winblows messenger.i always deleted it so it's pretty safe to get rid of it.
actually i love it.i think it's like XP with a better look and feel, plus i would have to say since it has not given me a BSOD yet it alot more stable then XP..the only pain is the UAC (user access control) cause it always pop's up and asks if you want to run a program but i disabled it so it won't bother me
YAY I FINALLY GOT IT INSTALLED YAY!!i took the HDD out of my POS HP and installed the HDD in my 64 bit system....it installed with no problems YAY!!!! i'll say this much, for a person who never ran linux before...it does have a nice easy to use GUI although it needs to be ALOT more like a .exe installer, a more customizable GUI, and more...themes but other then that it kick ass pretty good!
right now my system specs are: motherboard - asus a8n32-sli deluxe cpu - amd 3000+ memory - 1 GB ddr-400 HDD - maxtor 250 GB vid card - nvidia 7900 GTX optical drive - sony DVD burner OS - winblows vista ultimate 64 bit monitor - gateway 19" LCD case - thermaltake kandalf though i will be building a new system for hard core gaming
i prefer google search to that of microshaft.google gets 100 times better results
you can try updating your vid card drivers and see if that helps out any.is your system overclocked at all? if so this maybe the cause of the problem as well.alot of programs will detect a OC'ed system and will fail to load.
if you are using vista x86 (32bit) then yes, if you are using vista x64 (64 bit) then no, they haven't coded it for 64 bit as of yet or atleast as far as i know of
best program to use is spyware doctor, this program saved my arse alot of times..though you have to purchase it but it's well worth it,it'll seek and destroy ALL types of hijackers, trojans, spyware and adware and it permanently deletes them with NO hope of the malware from re-installing it self
♦ don;t disable the UAC.. That HAS to be the single dumbest comment I have ever seen on Vista. Ever. honestly in all my years of building computers and running microshaft OS's that is with out a shdaow of a doubt the most dumbest thing i've ever seen in a OS..when i clicked the live update for my norton anti virus it popped up and asked me if i wanted to run the program..a anti vi
frankly i have winblows vista ultimate x64 and i have no probs with it i have absolutly no crashes no BSOD ETC what so ever.though the damn thing is a memory and cpu hog but honestly i think it's one heck of a rock solid, stable OS..now watch after i said that it'll probably crash on me LOL
yeah i'm gonna give it a shot later on
