Ouch, if that's true...that definately needs to be fixed. Incendiary shells should work properly.. What if we left how missile barrage works alone and just decreased the damage? Being able to completely annihilate an entire fleet is a bit over the top when compared to other abilities. Lowering the damage would change it from a fleet buster to a fleet softener.... Another option would be to completely change the effect. Make it do somethin

The Regicide has the solution....did anyone notice? Change MB to deal a fixed amount of damage... Cap the damage, not the targets. Then a large enough fleet would survive if all the damage is shared between each ship equally. That would make me happy. I'd still like to see some of the other cap ships get a buff.. Not to game ending proportions, but just a little buff. Some of the abilities just seem a bit underpowered....either that o
I don't think I like the tax ideas... I do like some of what you're saying about the black market. Especially your edits to quick buy/sell. In addition, I think quite buy/sell should also include a slight penalty. When you're in a hurry to buy or sell something you don't have the time to shop around for the best deal/offer. I'd love to see the ability to buy/trade certain techs. Not every tech, but certain techs that
Let me weigh in here.... HATE nerfs. Always have. In this case, I don't thinka nerf is called for, but there should be some changes. First, yes, there should be a more obvious indicator that the Marza has started it's barrage. Some of the other abilities are down right annoyingly obvious...like Malice. For the barrage to be so "quiet" is a mistake. Second, there should be a point-defense ability that could reduce the amount of damage dealt
I'm not trying to flame, but that's just one opinion. I happen to think they mix quite well...and it's fun to see how the creative talents blend them. :) Again, that'smy opinion, not necessarily the "right" one. So if there are more people out there of the same opinion, there'd at least be some audience for the sort of thing I'm talking about. :)
For those who post about SciFi and Fantasy/Magic not mixing, I say this. There'd be no mix.... We're talking far enough in the past that, for the entities we'd be interacting with, there'd be no technology..least not in a sense of the tech we see in GalCiv. It's already established in the GalCiv games that certain races, like the Alarians, possess the inherent ability to perform "magic". So there's a mix right there that makes sense. It's all about perspect
AH, I was unaware that it had already been discussed. Oh well. I don't see that the connection would have caused a problem as this game would have been set far in the past when compared to the GalCiv games. No tech... I had just remembered hearing something about a possible connection and wanted it clarified. :)
I'm curious... Not that it would matter much, but would the setting for Elemental be pre-technological Altaria? If so, that could be a nice, cool tie in for GalCiv fans. :)
I wasn't going to post in this, but I'm stuck on one thing... You DON"T call your ex...whose a whore.... What exactly are we talking about in this thread? Wouldn't a whore fit the bill. Seems to me a whore would be exactly who you'd want to call. Oh well... Can I have her number? LOL!!!
I LOVE the idea of the plasma storms, gas giants, asteroid fields, etc. The idea of the place you are at having a effect on combat is just cool to me. Call me strange. Anyway, I'd like to see these effects amplified some how. The way it is now, you seldom ever end up fighting in one of the effected zones...least I don't. If there were some way to make things happen in these neat areas or to make them of more interest, that would make me giddy. :)
I've seen lot's of talk about super dreadnaughts.. Personally, I'm not all that excited about having more ship classes. I would like to see more ship choices though. I was really happy they added the anti-structure ships in entrenchment. I'd love to see a few more new ships in upcoming expansions. Not a HUGE number, but just a few more to chose from. At least one more cap ship in the 2nd or 3rd expansion. Now in the 2nd expansio
DrGuppie, I felt the same way. They could flash to the scenes from the original movie at times during the narrative intro so you get sneak peeks at the demigods and a taste for the action of the game. Just a suggestion....
I can only speak for myself, but I can truthfully say....I'd never buy a game that was multi-play only. If I can't fire up a single play match against an AI, I don't want to play it at all. Not that I don't like multi-play...but I seldom do it and I'd never want to spend muney on a product that I'd seldom use.
Nah, it still feels broken to me. It really should just be fixed so you can't do it. It feels much more like an exploit than a strategy.
Hrm.. I just might have to do that. Thanks for the info!
I've not played Fantasy Wars yet... I'm not sure I'm going to grab it or not considering everything else that's around right now. Maybe later.... Anyway, I found it because I was looking for something on Fantasy General...and older title I really enjoyed. Somone recommended Fantasy Wars as a spiritual successor to Fantasy General. So I download the video for it... I LOVE how the combat looks. Not having played it, I can't speak to how it works m
What if it isn't a who but a what? What if they caused a rift or tear in phase space and they are simply trying to outrun the shockwave? That could be an interesting twist. Eh?
So, who likes the new opening cinematic? I liked the old one as it showed us most of the demigods, but this new one is pretty nice too. I like the heiroglyphs. Maybe if the heiroglyph scenes could cut away to some snips of the other movie at opportune times? Anyone else have anything to post about the cinematic? Anyone else care? Maybe I'm just one of the few who like watching these things. [e digicons]o_O[/e]
Hrm... Maybe it should be fixed for this map, make it an option for all maps, or do something to the map so a player would know that this is an option. It'd be pretty to use a tactic like this as it is now because it's one of those "accidental discoveries" that very much feel like an exploit of a map bug.
I'm with you Frogboy. At home I'm on Satellite internet....so I play single play exclusively. I've enjoyed that as must, if not more than the multi-play games I've run from on the laptop at, erm, work. :)
I did a bit of testing. Now, I don't really think it's broken. At least not all that bad. The lack of mobility is a HUGE disadvantage to the skill. You have to be quick on the draw to get away from a seasoned player that's camping you. Now, a few small tweaks might be needed, like increasing the mana drain. That would keep you form being able to sit there in mist form indefinately. As the level goes up, the mana drain should go up a little more.
Hrm.. That would sort of break his character concept. He's a ranged attacker. Take away his range and he's a lot weaker. What if he could only attack mobs and other DMs at long range. Might not be feasible, but if it could be scripted to take away his ability to damage structures after a certain range... What would break if he couldn't hurt structures with his normal attack? Would he become unbalanced?
She definately needs a buff. Make her minions stronger, or set compost back. Either would be a huge help.
Maybe his damage versus structures should be dropped a bit. ???
Freeze the cooldown while in mist form. Nuff said..... That'd fix the cheese and keep the ability viable.
