What difficulty are you playing on? Edit: Nvm, missed that you were on masochistic
Raknor
Thanks for the info on my favorite race from DA. Hope it's not a too long wait, or I feel I'm becoming attached to the Arceans meanwhile ;) Manipulating Dark Energy? Sounds like magic. Then gain, according to Clarke's third law: "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
Uninstall all virus scanners, firewalls, toolbars, download accellerators and whatever. They all got lots of DLLs which get loaded into every single process. Each taking a good chunk away from the available 2GB.
I found the wiki too outdated, the forums were a better source of information for me.
TA is not finished yet, it's still in Beta stage.
You sir got some broken hardware. No amount of exception reports will fix it.
"We are Grey. We stand between the darkness and the light." If you're evil, the good races will hate you. If you're good, the evil races will hate you. Neutral you're in-between. They won't like you, they won't hate you. Perfect to stay out of harm's way.
7. What invention did the Terran Alliance create that allowed ships to travel faster? Hyperdive
Guess Earth has some really deep oceans if you need to hyperdive in them ;)
Unfortunatly Beta 3D will not have the Altarians or the Thalans implemented. Much of the team took the week off
That's a f***ing 50 DKP MINUS! jk ;)
Grats. So TA will be best game of 2008? ;)
Anyone seen Wargames? "A strange game. The only winning move is not to play"
Take your time. We all trust in your abilities to make TA an awesome expansion.
The best handheld console is still an ordinary laptop because it runs GC2 ;)
I'd love an option to just disobey the speed limit. I mean what could possibly happen. The UP giving you a speeding ticket?
Even if it's a 100% priority, in my last game it took ages for the AI to research it. It didn't even bother to put 100% spending on research. Industry didn't even take a drop on the graphs until way after when half the population was dead.
It's on purpose. They fully count on someone converting some planets into asteroid fields using a terror star ;)
I think I've found out what's causing this. At the end of the colony rush, I set the remaining colony ships on auto explore. After a while the turn button disappeared. By chance I selected one of the colony ships and noticed it had turns left and was trying to go straight through a planet. After moving the Colony ship manually the turn button reappeared and worked happily ever after since.
In my most recent TA game, the Korath had fully developed starbases with about 50/50/50 attack. Taking down those beasts usually would have cost me a few ships. But fortunately I was Arcean ;) Sidenode: Had to turn off my speakers before attacking those. INSANE noise if the gazillion guns of the starbase all fire at the same time.
Also rather than a cube, why not play the game on/in a 3-d surface/volume of a hypersphere. That is to say that the game area would appear as a sphere which wraps at the edges. Or, give the cat another canary, a more complex topography (can anyone say wormholes and spacial anomalies?) ^^
What about donut shape? The surface of it has a nice property. Preserves right angles and can be divided into a grid that wraps in every direction. Now take it to th
Krynn just looks silly to me with that eyes on something, something on their mouth, that net on them, that funny nipples or something... It looks like some great power-ranger-enemy-in-a-funny-costume...
Maybe the one depicted is a half-breed, the combination of the worse genes his parents had to offer :P
I'll buy the first two, but tide-locked wouldn't necessarily be a problem for a race with advanced tech. If it was close enough to the star, there would be a narrow but habitable band all around the planet.
Only if it has no atmosphere. If it had one, there'd be extreme winds. Air heating up and rising on the day side, cold air moving over from night side, hot air going over to night sight, then cooling and falling down.
Watch Babylon 5 much?
I hope we all too, can't have too much B5.
KANE LIVES! (The C&C one ofc) I even had a poster of Kane holding the world between his hands hanging on the wall some time ago. He looks so evil
I got the same problem on my laptop. It happens in almost every game I keep running for a long time and if I Alt-Tab in and out of the game many times. I don't think GC2 is to blame, rather the low quality audio hardware and drivers.
