Strategy games are wonderful on PCs and terrible on consoles. Can you imagine trying to play GalCiv II with a joystick? And SunofVich nailed it in his comment above: Most gaming companies these days push out decent games with so many bugs in them that they are unplayable so they can meet the holiday rush. I really like the podcast, which I just discovered this week, but there's one thing that bugs me: In the closing credits, you ask for votes on all the podcast sites including Odeo.com. Yeah, I've got the same problem as PaulErik. With version 4, I had set it up so that double-clicking the titlebar would minimize the window to the system tray. That isn't working in version 5. Other than that, I'm having no problems.
Odeo, the podcasting super-site, has released a nifty widget that lets you listen to podcasts in your Odeo queue from your desktop. (http://odeo.com/listen/widget) The problem is, it's an Apple widget; I'd love to see this as a DesktopX gadget. They've already done the scripting and the UI; all you have to do is convert it from Apple's format to DesktopX's format. If someone out there could do this for me and for all the windows

Just to clarify, I think you can add widgets to desktops. On the DesktopX Builder's settings dialog, go to the Desktop tab and click on the Import button under the Objects heading. That will pop up a list of objects you have on your computer. At the very top of the pop-up, there's a checkbox for widgets. See?
Do we need more than one brand of automobile? Same issue, really... I disagree; the difference between between cars and OS's is that cars all run on the same kind of gas. Differnet opperating systems, on the other hand, require that each program be re-written to support it. That's why Mac's OS and Linux will remain fringe elements and other OS's will struggle to compete: You can't go to Best Buy and buy a game
Do we really *need* more than two or three operating systems? Operating systems aren't supposed to be about being exciting, they're supposed to A) be as efficient as possible and B) run as many different programs as possible. (Incidentally, that's why Windows is on top: most programs run fairly reliably on it.) It isn't supposed to be revolutionary; I just want it to *work*.
