I feel like such a n00b asking this question, but... what program do you use to create objects like the DesktopX Aquarium fishes? Bryce? Is there a tutorial someplace that you could direct me to? Thanks!

To the GUI Olympics team: Don't give up. No matter what you do, a small minority of people are gonna get angry at you. May as well just do what you want without worrying about them. The GUI Olympics fosters creativity in skin making I'm actually seeing unique WB skins for a change! And the WinAmp section... wow, there's some great stuff in there. Icons too. Don't let a handful of idiots ruin such a good thing.

Some people have made e-mail notification objects, but right now they only tell you whether or not you e-mail. Is it possible to make an object that scrolls the subject lines of e-mails too?

Due to a fortunate mixup, I may soon be in the market for a new laptop computer. Do you have any recommendations? It has to be less than $1000, preferably $800. I was thinking of the Sony VAIO PCG-FR130, which I can get at the bestbuy website for $1150 - 250 rebates = $900. Is that a good computer, or are there any better ones I should get? Thanks!
