I looked in your profile for your email addy, but I guess WinCustomize doesn't have a contact link yet. Or I didn't find it. Anyways, your Christmas Clock widget from last year (located here: Link ) doesn't work with the latest version of DesktopX. The hands don't move for some reason. Thought you might like to know.

For me, it's a lot easier to create a skinable program in DesktopX than it would be to learn how to create a skinnable program in any other environment.

I never got into the alternative shell scene because I was under the impression that you could seriously break something by doing it. With the Object Desktop suite, I can skin stuff and not worry about any permanent damage. But, anyways: Thank goodness for the GUI Olympics: It brought a lot of innovation to the table; if you look at the stuff coming out in the month or two before GUI Olympics, it was boring, unimaginative stuff. The DesktopX object doesn't on my computer for some reason. It gets the data OK (I can set a MsgBox with the XML feed data), but that data doesn't get to the Internet Explorer window. Tried on both the latest beta and the current release version of DesktopX. And my RSS reader can't recognize the XML feed.

The problem with that is that you have to open up another program, whereas my RSS reader is on all the time. It's an at-a-glance solution.

Yes, but in one of those annoying little speech balloon things. An RSS feed won't disappear after a few seconds, and it would be an a much more easy-to-browse format.

Mainly, I'd use the RSS feed to look at my RSS reader and see "Nope, no new DesktopX skins today" and not bother coming into WinCustomize at all. Saves me time and WinCustomize bandwith.

Could we set up an RSS feed for each of the different categories of items available for download? That way we could just check the RSS reader to see if there were any new DesktopX items or any Windowblinds skins, etc.
