Well, no. The answer has not been given. I've never played Total War, so that reference is lost on me. All I want to know if the dragon battle with the flying soldiers in chain mail will be possible in this game. If the scope of that battle is not currently possible, will it be possible in the future? Yes or no would suffice. Frogboy did say they were rushing to get multiplayer out because it's on the box. I just want reassurance that
Why does everyone get upset about my wanting a company to deliver a product as it was advertised? Is it too much to ask for an official answer? I really think it is a big problem when a company advertises a product and does not deliver on the advertisement. I feel I deserve an honest answer. If I see something on the box, I want to know if the product will be able to perform as shown. It's honest-business 101. &

Have to admit I play on large maps and have only finished 2 games all the way through so I'm willing to believe it's only random resource placement. Of course there is also a map editor. But anyway I believe they are still refining random map generating, they where finding either the maps generated where not good enough or with an improved map generator taking to long to generate. Personally I think they should optionally release it anyway. But they do still fully intend for it to be

To be honest I think they need to address the fact that you can build on a resource anywhere in your influence, but if it's not near enough once of your outpost/town/cities you can't harvest the resources. It's not obvious and it's kind of pointless.

I believe random map generation is currently based on seed maps and so can produce a lot of similar maps. I believe they are still working on a better random map generator, they where finding their best random map generator just took to long at the moment expect to see it improved.

I think the tiles issue may just be because you can't build on certain tile right against cliffs for example, goody hut, special resources and a few terrain types. Haven't seen it in the current version otherwise. I have seem quest bugs in higher level quests where the target doesn't appear and/or steping on it does nothing.

I've encountered the none appearing or vanishing quest location bug, vut not the dragon failing to appear in your party. Keep in mind that you might not see it appear on the map if your party is already large (has many different units in it). But it should show in the bottom right of the UI when the party is selected and in combat.

I've also been playing and enjoying elemental since it's release and despite the issues, bugs and lack of polish I've generally had a lot of fun with it. The latest release is a big improvement on previous versions. I would certainly say it's not the best game ever at the moment by a long shot, but it's still fun worts and all and has the potential to become a truly classic game.

I believe althogh Caravans build a dirty track as soon as the first arrive, the road gradually changes and becomes more established overtime but I'm not 100% sure of the practical effect of that. I assume the other one would lower the cost of pioneer packs which enable a unit to build cities and hence also lower the cost of pioneers, but I haven't tested this maybe you should.

I disagree with much of the detail of what you say particularly this: "+ Researching "spell levels" directly from the magic screen should go away. One must research all available low level spells first before one can learn the higher level ones. No more bee-lining straight to level three to get the giant. This will fix some balance issues." I think having to research all spells at each level limit strategic choi

However, the Empire factions use Death magic, while the Kingdoms use Life Magic so the OP is sort of right the appearance of the land does change to reflect this. Also as of the latest patch there is some sort of bonus to being on your own turf or penalty for being one someone elses in battle I beleive.

I think it's more a question of balance, tiles should offer a great strategic advantage worth fighting for in the mid to late game. At the moment they are to essential in the early game which actually distracts from their strategic importance. Not all of them are so unbalance, for example I can build a good army without metal if I select the right tech. But materials, fertile land and gold mines are all essential in the early game. I suggest putting guardians on all resources but Food

Stardock, please add code to record what hair a hero or sovereign has before they put a hat or helmet on and reapply it when they take it off. It's cosmetic I know but has started to bug me.

Yes I think Stardock have gone for a slightly more realistic approach to armour for women e.g. it's not designed to show their bodies off it's designed to protect them. Of course it also saved on the art assets [e digicons];)[/e] .
