A great welcome to our newest members, Idazen and Brinshaw! :) With a few more recruits, the Kzinti Empire will have 250 members. We have advanced to about a quarter million points back from the Space Orcas....soon they will feel our fangs! Sentient species taste better...

The resource definitely. Sentient species taste better...
Thanks for the excellent answer Mumble. I was hoping that it would turn out that the tech spending was more valuable for score, because there is 0 micro-management involved with that. One reason I havent achieved any mega-scores is that the level of micro-management needed would suck a lot of the fun out of it for me, so I've been looking for less management-intensive ways to increase my score. The other reason is that I dont play gigantic maps, because my computer would probably run
I have a question about the very end of the game, when all I'm doing is points-farming. I know that tech score is based on overall research points produced, so at the end of the game when the tech-tree is already complete and the last enemy civ is down to one planet, what I have been doing is set my military slider to 0, and leave it a 50/50 for tech and social (to complete projects on most recently captured planets). But would I be likely to earn more points by setting tech to 0% and
I believe the terms are core word, rim word, spin word, and I forget the term for back spin word and I don't know what up and down would be. but since we are not using a complete galaxy in this game.
Replace "word" with "ward", and you;ve got it. ;) Sent
If you like scifi novels and haven't read Vinge you are in for a tteat with this or any of his books and short stories
I checked out Vinge's list of novels & stories, and I dont think I've read anything of his. From what I did read about him, he sounds like a very interesting author, and I will keep watch on Amazon for cheap used books of his. :) <img src="http://www.mypicshare.com/thumbs/2007
Surenders should always be allowed, as in DL you cant turn them off. That would unbalance the playing-field. I would agree except for the comments that the AI's in DA are more surrender happy and due to the minimum time you can be at war you may very well not be able to do anything about an AI stupidly declaring war on you and then surrendering to someone else the next turn once they recalculate their military might ratio. I'll consider myself taunted... ;) Now I know I cant compete with fearsome M & M, but I did manage 21000 points this round, though it took me six years and some points-farming (as I call it), to do it. Next round I'll take it up a notch! Surenders should always be allowed, as in DL you cant turn them off. That would unbalance the playing-field. <IMG id=ImageResize_Image_4 alt="Kzinti empire2.JPG" src="http:/
What happens if you run into a race of dog people? Hmmm....Empire of the Tines
Hey Franco. :) Who or what are the Tines?
well...the so called conflict of cats and dogs is really only on the domestic level, and even then its not as prevalent as some may think. Anyone that has multiple/different kinds of pets will tell you the same thing. Also, in the greater natural world, cats te
Just stopping by to offer my congrats to KzintiPatriarch for passing me in the Metaverse for the second time. I take that to mean I can start submitting games again? <IMG id=ImageResize_Image_48 src="http://images.stardock.com/smiles/Wink.gif" onload=ImageResizer.createOn(this); align=absMiddle border=0 tries="

Welcome to our newest members, DaffyD, and Alahir! :) The Empire is approaching 7 million points, and ever closer to supplanting the Space Orcas! :CONGRAT: Sentient species taste better...
Well said, snack-sized furry prey-creature. *licks fangs* :d Is there a planet somewhere full of your species? We would love to hrrrrr...visit... Sentient species taste better...
Yep, our team is ok. We already have the requisite 4 games submitted too. :) Sentient species taste better...
Hope you can get your problems fixed soon GalenEvil, and return to the league, and GalCiv2. Sentient species taste better...
It has been only been 19 octals of days (5 months) since the Kzinti arrived in this galaxy. Our rise to dominance has been swift and relentless, as is our destiny. While the warlords of the other empires grow fat and lazy on the spoils of their long-gone victories, the Kzinti hunger for conquest is insatiable! Every day more planetary systems fall to our Heroic t'kzintar, and warriors from the old and dying empires join us in our quest for the subjugation of the galaxy. Those who resist will
Here is my submission. I tried to milk this one for every point. I'm sure I will be humbled by some later scores. ;) <img src="http://www.mypicshare.com/thumbs/20070803/vqrpalpt.jpg" bord
Welcome to our newest members, DragonKnight, Lord Hammerschmidt, & jaygittings! As noted before by the illustrious Purge, we now have more members than any other empire! :D A couple score-increasing hints.... Here is an example of a "military starbase array" from my latest game.
I see that things are off to an excellent start for the Olympian Gods. Interesting idea Silverbeacher, and I'm curious to see if you will get deathly sick of a game before 1000 games completed! Good to have some more competition on the MV too. The Kzinti will be watching... ;) <
No I haven’t played KA. I assume that is a computer game? SFB was originally a (rather complicated) strategic board game that was launched in 1979 or so. I don’t know how the publishers of SFB got to use Niven’s Kzin. Maybe they snagged the rights before Niven really knew what he had. Anyway, all the later iterations (including the computer version, Star Fleet Command) of SFB were Kzin-less since Niven wised up. The game is almost dead now. Pity. I’ll wait on the sidel
Pardon me but might I am interested in acquiring a some kzinti genetic samples for ghola production. Please ignore the face dancers already placed among you.... Master Researcher Hidar
We can detect the face-dancers Hidar, because they do not smell right. They can't fool the keen Kzinti sense of smell. Only cowardly being would hide behind another's face. We dont like to eat them though, because they dont taste right either... We throw their bodies to t
You also my try the Legacy of the Aldanta by John Ringo... of course in a fight between the Posleen and the Kizinti not sure who would win.
Thanks Lorent. :) At the moment I am re-reading some of the Man-Kzin wars, because its been a long time since I first read them. I dont believe I've read any John Ringo, but I'll have my gf check the library for him next time she's there. <img src="ht
Olympian Gods? Unfortunately for you they were consumed by the Fanged God along with all the other Terran gods when the Kzinti conquered those chattering monkey-people from Earth. But gods are tricky and have ways of coming back when least expected. Competition is always good for it is the best way to cull the weak and unworthy! We wish you well on your medal-quest Fights-With-Words. That is a definitely a cool idea Silverbeacher! :) Gaining all the medals is certainly a lo
You really shouldnt give away your secrets like that Silverbeacher. You fool....mauahahaha! Now everyone can replicate your overwhelmingly brilliant strategy. :D Sentient species taste better...
