This idea is not only boring compared to innociv's, innociv's will result in more interesting gameplay. Why? Because in this way, once you've decided on your items, the only progression in items is purchasing upgrades. There's no choice, no ability to emphasize one aspect over another, and negligable flexibilty. Even the current implementation is more flexible because in that you're encouraged to sell your items. In this way, you've invested heavily into upgrading the item. Finally, this idea
@xBlackx, you can overpower the opponent with the War Idol, because it adds +1 creature to every spawn-grp you'll spawn.
Including giants. That's big. I like the idea, it'd let you keep up with information that's given to you that could easily overwhelm your memory.
"WE'RE NEVER GOING TO FIND NEW EXPLOITS IF YOU KEEP ABUSING THE SAME ONES"
lol, QFT. I think that the best implementation may to slow captures by 50%. Scales nicely, not exploitable.
The readme's moderately useful, too.
Mines not triggering properly is another bug that will be fixed in the next update.
Good to hear. When is the next update coming? It sounds soooooo goood...
I've seen this assert fail before, but we still haven't figured out why it happened. Good catch on the terrain, though, that assert mystified me last time. I wonder what that assert is there for?
http://forums.demigodthegame.com/323824 This guide tells you exactly how much gold you get for killing each type of creep. Yes, a log box would be very handy to have.
Then if somene does try to move, and they step over the fire, BAM.. an ally TB freezes them on the fire and they die fast. :3
That would be absolutely excellent synergy. I love that idea.
(not the 32 segment one it is now ).
32? Wow, I was off.
Poorly if at all. I don't know that video card well enough to say for sure, and the other specs are questionable for sure. It seems that it doesn't support Shader Model 3, which demigod needs, so I think you're out of luck. Sorry.
Your math teacher? Why?
He loooooooooooooves goats. No idea why. It's pretty funny, I think it's deliberate.
I see that Alt+A:Toggle AI_RunOpponentAI On/Off. That should work. I'd guess it's stuck in a loop.
Always good. I guess it's break's big bad brother.
if you manage to kill something important you'll probably have to reboot.
Generally windows won't let you kill anything too important, but it's generally good to only close processes run by your user name unless you're sure you can close it.
The better you do, the more virgins your devote followers sacrifice in your honor.
love it. [e digicons][/e] The only problem is that you're only a demigod, so you'll probably only be able to attract cultists, and their sacrificial techniques leave a demigod feeling skeezy inside.
Yeah, it's a thread entitled something like "digging through the lua files"
http://forums.demigodthegame.com/323546 This suggestion takes your idea of upgrades and gets it nearly perfect. It's a really good idea to do upgrades, and he's poured in tons of work to make it this good. It beats combines because it's considerably easier to balance and allows a much less befuddlingly complex choice. The other problem of combines is when do they stop? If they're limited to a certain number
Kalypso may be willing, I think they're still cackling in glee from getting sins.
In fact, it doesn't say he should necessarily 'outrange' towers & structures, just that he can snipe them from a distance.
He has the durability of wet paper towels. It's the only way he can.
Why should a low lvl demigod be able to destroy a big holy tower of light? Sure.. ya can say, because we're demigod we're powerful.
You need to level up a bit to even have a prayer of doing it, and at low levels it takes an interminable amount of
I never said anything about reducing macro. Macro is great, too.
I never said anything about reducing micro. Micro is great, too. It's just that the best candidates for explaining how not to make macro work still need to be successful, so they generally have tremendous micro. I'm sorry if I gave you the impression that I wanted the opportunities for micro removed just to compensate for my terrible reflexes. They aren't that bad [e digicons][/e] . I fervently
I don't mind the original idea as an idea, I'm just worried about the implementation. The only way to make it not automatic is to make it expensive enough that nobody would use it, making implementation wasted time. The margin for sucessful implementation of such a feature in a game catering to such a broad market is thin enough to cut butter with, and the consequences for missing could be tremendous.
That would be fine if they were customizable. Most people (desktop users) wouldn't want them, but laptop users could move them closer to the action a la sins with xc for example. It needs to be smooth though, the keyboard zoom in SupCom was a sick joke (don't know about the expansions)
Sometimes use Alt + A twice works to bring them back on the Battlefield.
Wazzat do?
Goats
Now my math teacher's going to be eternally angry at me because I forgot goats. [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e]
The explanation is that the gods are betting on you, and if you make them win they'll pay you off, and there is nothing awesomer than the idea of all the gods sitting up on Mt. Olympus idly betting on the contest. It's fantastically atmospheric in this lore. The mines, not so much, but gold is good. Gods like gold, it's shiny. [e digicons][/e] Plus, it's even less logical for souls to be stuck in the ground than gold. I think that it'd be better if some points were there supposedly j
Have a look at C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Demigod\lua\common\ArmorTypes.lua they have commented out the armor types and have currently set them so that each damage type does the same damage (except double artilery damage to structures), I'm pretty confident at some point in the future damage type will be quite an important part of strategy.
yeah, I noticed that too, I was editing that post for clarity when you posted. I actually copied that into another thread. The
Its that simple.
Not really. You're assuming you're only dealing with one demigod, otherwise you wouldn't be able to kill him that quickly. Teleportation scrolls are cheap. Send the whole team in and while everybody's chucking firey doom around, somebody slaps a lock scroll on the flag. It isn't balanced if the counter assumes a total lack of communication on the other side's part. Also, they could do a lot of damage while you camp by attacking in other places. Buy ever
And your base upgrades on a timer. Once you get put on a certain war level, those towers turn into arrow towers as part of the transformation.
It doesn't matter how fast your core is because the render thread will do it as fast as possible to provide the best FPS. The main problem will be the sim speed, but I haven't seen anyone drop below 4+ yet so I think we'll weather it through.
I think this is the case, because I have a quick CPU (2.66 GHz C2D, pretty good for a laptop I don't want running hot) and if it really needs the 100% CPU I'm giving it, then all the people with P4s wouldn't even be able to think a
