Cool, thanks for the info, even though I think that's something we'll find out in the beta.
Capturable flag on maps. Countered by the other team capturing the flag.
How does this work? If you own the flag then you get the bonus and not the other guy, or something different? Sorry, but the info on counter makes me think that something else is possible.

It also helps you tell your favorites apart much more easily.
Definite tease, but I must say that I got that little clue from frogboy, not tyo.
Good write-up. If I knew DotA, then I'd probably be even more enlightened, but this covered everything important that I can think of.
I like that form of synergy, but it could be hard to balance so that there aren't a few insanely comboed groups of demigods that make the rest unplayable. Making the synergistic abilities fall into a collection of catgegories and make sure that each god contributes to a combo and is the effect end of another combo in each type may work. For example, the rook has a self-healing passive ability, which lets him be a focus for abilities that add effects to healing abilities, so if we're using inn
Then again, after using it I found the M16 to be what i'm best with and i use 85% of the time, which you start out with.
That's not a bad thing necessarily. If the best weapons were at the end, it'd get really hard for new players (See Battlefield 2: SF aka the expansion that cocked everything up for details on that.
Gamers shall have the right of the first night. Really? That's freakin' awesome! Now I just need an estate... [e digicons];P[/e]
I think the OP is talking about favicons.
This.
Some other info that may be useful: 4) Once the beta comes out, preorders with paypal should work, they just can't use paypal for preorders where they don't give you anything. 5) If you want to preorder Demigod as a gift, place the recipient's email address in the shipping adress' email slot. If you want to buy it for yourself, use the email your SDC/Impulse account is under. Keep in mind that if you have a forum account, this is an Impulse account, so try to use that
Market Basket
What's that? Also, thrawn, wanna see if we can get a hamachi demigod game together with some other guys from the sins mod group?
I must say that the account system here is very well put together. You guys make it easy for us. Looking forward to the beta
It is something that occasionally annoys me about the stardock forums that I would like to see, if you do this, please make one for sins.
I'm not sure about that, because it's something you actively need to 'capture and keep' which implies to me that it's in more contested territory than the back of your base.
If it's popular in korea we're doomed!
Just time the time zones right and you'll be fine.
I really hope they do that. I think the quote is inane for this early and probably based on an assumption.
If you just want pure power on the cheap, then building one yourself is the way to go, and isn't that hard actually. On the other hand OMFG those falcon paintjobs are sick! Sometime when I can buy a computer so good the paint job won't cost more than the computer..
We have a similar model and gameplay mechanic. Maybe you shouldn't let the opposing team capture and keep the Resurrection Shrine?
Explain. I'm assuming that the Resurrection shrine letst them respawn faster or is it something cooler than that like haing some dead creeps come back to life? That'd be awesome.
What I heard indicated that it would be made of a series of quests, but I'd love a dev to translate that out of vague.
You know, honestly, it has very little to do with Beta, and a hellva lot to do with how much I love this title.
So we're in the 'playtesting' phase now? [e digicons];P[/e] I know how you feel though, nigh becomes day, work becomes play, and all of a sudden you've got a game that'll rock everybody's socks. Well, I actually don't know that last bit is, why don't you tell me when you're done? [e digicons][/e]
How about making Achievement points you earn based on how quick the game ends?
I like the sound of this one, but make some for getting a kill streak or some other accomplishment of killy doom for those of us who like team games but don't want to stack our teams. The problem with team achievements is that they rely on the other guys pretty heavily, and kill streak achievements and the like are soly about your contribution.
No Stardock published game that has had a pre-order beta has ever gotten less than a meta score of 85.
Which one? Running through my list of Stardock games I think had betas, I can't come up with one I wouldn't give significantly better than 85. Of course, you don't advertise hard enough to get the best scores, but still.
Innociv: [e digicons]k1[/e]

Also maybe some generals special units will have special abilties.
Hmm, you might be onto something here...
Hope he is, that sounds bloody amazing. [e digicons][/e]
Yeah, that too, that could get very very annoying and is way too likely to drive peope nuts.
There's a difference between cherry picking the best markets to sell to and having an unreasoning fear of pirates. It is hard to get updates from pirates, but it can be done, and it will be done, and if some markets stay true to the previously established trends then it's a losing proposition, and there's no reason to undertake something likely to cause a loss. The US computer games market is a viable way to gain a profit, but the market in china may not be worth the localization cost given t
Which sounds all well and good, but you cannot get clear or affective results from such a skewed audience. They already believe and want the outcome to be good as opposed to being fair and subjective.
They believe in the gameplay concept. They may not believe in the current implementation. You have a group of people who aren't going to ask for radical rewrites, but instead are going to ask for minor changes to help polish the gameplay. You'll already notice people who
