Is there a setting which would allow you to use one skin for the startpanel/taskbar and another for everything else? I had thought this was an option at one point, however cannot locate such a setting. Thanks in advance.

Brad, I'm sure you'll shine! I saw you on The Screensavers and you took over the show!!
Are you connected to the web via a dial up modem or do you have a high speed connection (cable, dsl)? I use windows messenger flawlessly to talk to my two brothers all the time. There is never a disconnect unless I am hanging up on one of them!
Excellent news! Great work Stardosk and Pixtudio!!
I should've said "My impressions" instead of "First impressions" I guess. It's not like I am trying to sell MS IE or anything. I like to try different software and make the decision on which to use based on my experience. On my system, Mozilla is not even near "blindingly fast". I have also tried other browsers but none work better for me than IE.
davad70, You don't sound confused, you sound bitter. Do you really believe your $20 investment was not worth it? No banner ads or pop-ups, a pretty fast site, lots of community chat and bickering, the best skins on any site I've visited (BTW - I really like your Boron wb skin). I usually spend more than $20 if I go out to lunch (I do enjoy food).
First impressions - I don't like Mozilla. It is not as fast as IE and the other features don't make up for that.
Doesn't Mozilla 1.1 have the ability to block pop-ups? I thought someone here mentioned that before, but I cannot find that setting anywhere. Any help would be appreciated.
I would like to thank mormegil and alexandrie for the wonderful icon package and windowblind. I only use those two products currently and can't comment on the object bar. I am impressed by the work. BTW - I change the shade of the windowblind skin ever so slightly to suit my taste - a wonderful feature of wb 3.4. Thanks for that stardock! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIG
I just installed it and it's running like a charm! Thanks for all the hard work Stardock!!
I am running Windows XP - SP1. The version of msvbvm60.dll is 6.0.92.37. Thanks for any help.
I happen to like the wb skin and the icon package. As for the wallpaper, I rarely use the one shown in any screenshot with a wb skin - I like to search until I find one that is perfect for my taste. I don't use object bar (yet). It is offensive to me the way that some people are complaining and being overly critical of the work put in to these pieces. If you don't like it, don't use it. How about giving some appropriate credit to the artists. I think my subscription is most wor
Thanks a bunch!
Why does the "site updates" window of the skin browser not skin with windowblinds?
...bump...
Logged off twice just then with no problem. Restarted computer and logged on and received the following message "Sysmetrix has encountered a problem and needs to close." Further delving into the message and the error detail is : App Name: sysmetrix Mod Name: msvbvm60.dll Mod Version: 6.0.92.37 Offset: 000da568 Is any of this helpful?
Works correctly if started normally after I have logged on and other autostart progs have loaded (norton av, messenger, windowblinds). I am using XP - SP1. I will log off completely and let you know what error message I get.
Xymantix, I thought I would repost these two comments here since you are paying attention to this thread. I still am experiencing intermittent problems with the prog. crashing at startup. Any thoughts? For some reason, the program crashes at startup if I place a shortcut to it in my startup folder (there are multiple users on this computer so I did not want to enable the 'run on startup' option. I left the perp. a nice message!
Look what is now over at ThemeXP - http://www.themexp.org/view_info.php?id=12099 >
Actually, the prog still crashes intermittently at startup.
For some reason, the program crashes at startup if I place a shortcut to it in my startup folder (there are multiple users on this computer so I did not want to enable the 'run on startup' option. The workaround that I found is to edit the registry so that it starts under HKEY Current User\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. I am posting this in case anybody experiences a similar problem.
I downloaded and installed RC-1 after uninstalling the previous version. I am not having any problems with it. It shows the correct version. I am running Windows XP Pro SP-1. No fancy graphics card, though. Just the onboard. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered by SkinBr
Koasati, Same reason some folks choose to do a clean install of their OS instead of an upgrade. It tends to keep things tidy (i.e. registry entries, left-over portions of an older version, etc.). I will enjoy looking for the best skins to download now that I can start from scratch!
