Those 'x' stitches on the start menu mouseovers are probably going to be a problem. The little arrow on the right side,next to FF and the like, will sit right there, and the icons will probably sit over the stitches on the left. Edit: Yes, you should skin the expanded start menu, but I think you can hold off on worrying about that for now. Worry about that when you get to it in SKS.

The rounded corners is do-able, but more difficult. For either taskbar, you are going to need to use layers so you can tile the pattern, stitching and highlight differently from each other. The setting to tell it how far to stretch is in the Extras tab on the top part. Recent Documents Expansion Value. The higher the number, the more it will stretch. You have a couple options with this. You can set the expansion amount to zero, so it does not stretch at all, or... When you cut your start panel into pieces, you need to be sure the pieces are cut exactly right. the math needs to add up or you get things misaligned when you put it in. Don't forget to include any transparency around the edges in your cuts too. If you have 5 pixels transparency on the right side of the top part, then your right side part should have that amount of transparency too. Make sense?
