Denyasis, your next response might cause me to die of laughter, you murderer! Do you really believe all that shit you posted about weed? Cobra at least posted real, if irrelevant information. I'm not a stoner, I've never used alcohol, smoked cigarettes or done drugs of any kind. I have educated myself on the subjects though, your post reads worse than the modern bullshit does. Shit that absurd hasn't been said about weed since the sixties propaganda movies were made that sho

Yes, it is infeasible. The pricing power of the top oil companies is dick. They don't produce hardly any of the oil in the world, we've blocked exploration and drilling for a couple decades now. It's sold on an open market, like an auction. There is no grand conspiracy involving the big oil companies because they don't control enough supply to do anything. Grottenolm85, you Europeans have been artificially driving up the costs and still haven't invented an alternative fuel. Necessi

"Art is for the sophisticated eye (no punt intended on the eye though). Bush can blow anyday about his "mass deception" war. We just wasted 8 years of our resources to take down one dictatorship for another (Bin Laden)." Wtf? Hello stoner, nice to meet you...

Why is weed a problem? Legislating morality for the sake of morality never works. You need to have an actual reason, and there is no reason for weed in particular to be illegal. Smoking a joint is far less dangerous than a normal cigarette, and the mind altering side effects are sloth and hunger, nothing harmful to anyone else. It's terrible logic.

You mistake punishment with reaction. If you are attacked by an unarmed man and shoot him before he strikes you, by your logic, you've murdered someone for nothing. By my logic, you avoided possible death and don't know what would have happened if you hesitated. You might not think the cash in the register is worth killing someone over but the guy robbing the store might not think your life is worth getting caught over. Assume they are a lethal threat unless you have an excellent rea

If we're going to take the suggestion seriously, domes wont work for tornadoes anyway. The problem with building for a tornado is that a nice, mile wide F5 can launch 5 ton trees at 200 mph. Actual use of a dome would have excellent benefits outside of his suggestion though. Washing it isn't as difficult as you might think. You simply ring it with a moat to collect the water, and install high pressure sprayers starting at the top. Negligible water loss, easy cleaning. Using

Heh, the quad core, SLI notebooks would beg to differ on the second point. The problem is they really aren't laptops at that point, too hot to sit on your lap, they need ventilation too, so a flat surface for the feet is mandatory, and they burn through their battery in 20 minutes anyway, so you can't really use them in such a fashion even if you bring your desk with you. :) If price isn't an issue, [link="http://www.pcmicroworks.com/store/customize.php"]ream yourself[/link] and match

They do, they're absurdly cheap by comparison. The budget PC is no longer a monster that eats small children, you can spend under a grand and get a very nice box these days. Consoles on the other hand aren't particularly useful aside from the gaming aspect and have almost doubled in price in the last ten years instead of halved. You don't actually need the $400 video card, you just need one to play the very few games that are all graphics and no content and should be skipped anyway.

It probably is the sound. Sound glitches hanging things up are pretty common, thanks to the asinine design of the windows kernel. Things to look for would be common programs you share with your friend that are running at the same time as sins and use sound, messenger programs, mp3 players, habits like alt-tabbing out to check things, particularly those that use sound, and sound settings. My bet is on a third party application, it would be far from the first time two programs glitched

"The provision for that is in sentencing and giving Judges the latitude to take into account circumstances. Many individuals are placed under suspended sentence for blowing away an unarmed intruder with the legal shotgun they had in the house. A direct parallel? Of course not, only an illustration of the principle of latitude, not insane strict adherence to the Rule of Law." One could also ask why such an insane case ever happened in the first place. Killing an intruder of any type sho

If it weren't so sad, it would be hilarious. DessanT, do you by chance know what you and every living plant and animal on earth exhale? I'll give you a hint, you've labeled it as pollution. Seriously people, the latest doom and gloom scenario designed to sell advertising space on TV is not what you should be watching to educate yourselves.

Defeating the pirates is impossible, so they don't try. Sort of like you'll never achieve flight by flapping your arms so you shouldn't bother trying in the first place, except more difficult. There is no intelligent way to combat piracy, thus intelligence is to not. As to your problem, I'm a little lost on this. Pray tell, how would the tech tree poster help you learn the game? You can immediately view the entire tech tree on starting a game, with descriptions that are not on the p

The legal system run by lawyers that gives child molesters less jail time than drug dealers is better than personal justice eh? The law does not define justice, the law is supposed to be defined by it. Which is sadly not the case. That he knew he was going to get it for his reasonable retaliation and had the forethought to call his lawyer is a sign of intelligence, if not enough to realize that calling his lawyer was going to cause him more trouble in the end. Assuming I was

My brain hurts from reading this thread. The polar ice caps cause tornadoes. If they actually melted, severity of weather would be decreased drastically. Alas, even with the best possible projections, melting Antarctica is flat impossible, so we're fucked on that one. If the north pole melted, tornado ally wouldn't exist. The strong air currents are driven by the radical change in temperature caused by the ice caps. No ice caps, no radical change in temperature. Now, hurri

You are one seriously lazy shit if you pick a console over a PC because you might have to update a video card driver to play a new game. That's a brain dead simple operation that any idiot can do. I can understand the fear of learning the more difficult stuff, but anyone that wont do such simple maintenance is just lazy.

"My mother was seventy five at the time and had she fallen and broken her hip it could have proven fatal." Context is everything, I doubt I'd kill someone for such, but in the hospital they would go for sure. My personal reaction is not the issue though, it's what reciprocation is in your rights. When you assault a person in a manner that could end in their death, you should expect a retaliation on the same level. An attempt to relieve you or someone else of life, liberty or property

Conservative does not equal hard ass. The current set of laws regarding things like use of appropriate force are based on fictional foundation. They aren't part of the law at all. It's like the Miranda rights, you have no actual law saying that. What you have is a ruling by a judge or a panel of judges that says you do. You have the right to remain silent and the right to legal counsel, but there is no legal foundation for making the police inform you of your rights. Stare decisis was not

Armed revolt is about it at this point. Liberal fucktard judges constitute the majority of our appellate court system, the state courts aren't much better. The US Supreme Court is considered very conservative for a federal court, yet holds three raving lunatics that repeatedly disregard the Constitution in nearly all of their opinions(the only true thing left at this point is the label they've given themselves), one that only disregards it most of the time, two that disregard it anytime a prev

Ugh... z3r0x had some... issues. Nebulon B frigates were about half the power of their upgraded version that you got access to at the same time, and paid almost the same price for. :( He added stuff in, but it didn't even look like balance was a consideration. You either used the added units, and only the added units, or you got smoked like a cheap cigar with your half as many hard points standard units.

Don't think he read it. I'm on the fence about drug legalization/decriminalization. Regardless of how you put it, making them go through treatment instead of being punished makes them basically the same thing from a penal view point. On the one hand, there are drugs like weed, harmless, completely. There is not a single recorded case of a rational, non-violent individual smoking weed and going on a killing spree because of it. If anything, it would be a good thing to give th

While you have a point that the unit additions are retarded and severely overdone just for the sake of doing it, you're dishing it out on someone that made something for nothing. It's not like you're paying EvilleJedi to do this. If he wants to put the care bears in as a third side, you've no grounds to complain about his choices.

Monitors are also low intensity, designed for close viewing. Aperature size is relative to distance. Alfonse, shit resolution is a factual statement within the frame of thinking that 20 year old technology equivalences are shit. If you have a cell phone the size of a car battery, you have a shitty cell phone. That the television industry as a whole is populated entirely by overpriced shit due to a lack of media requirements, does not change that TV's have shit resolution. TV's are n
