I don't think, though I could be wrong, that you can dual boot both 32 and 64 bit Windows 7. You certainly could set up dual boot with Windows 7 and XP Pro though. And, yes, you can hook up two computers to one monitor, though, of course this depends on the monitor and only one computer could drive the display at once. I do this, I have a newer computer with Windows 7 and a fairly ancient one with Windows ME on it (to play very old games on) both connected to my display.

Yes, Windowblinds can do that... though realistically you will need Windowblinds and SkinStudio (the software that creates/changes skins.) Most/many windowblinds skins use highlighting, but it is a pretty easy task in SkinStudio to remove it. Basically you'd just change the graphic that makes the highlight into one that is 100% transparent using your favorite graphics program.

Here is an update on my progress so far... I am probably going to abandon the idea of the invisible task bar. It presents many, many problems with usability in practice unless you have VERY specific color choices for wallpapers/desktop/icons. Oh well, was a good idea anyway and I am liking my minimalist taskbar here as shown. That is an excellent point Karmat... perhaps I should make the clock/notification area transparent too? Then you're stuck not seeing the "show desktop" area visually as well, but maybe that is an OK tradeoff. Or I could make two substyles, one with a transparent clock/notification and one this way. Would be very little extra work I would think. Will think on that! [e digicons]:thumbsup:[/e]

This is a windowblind I am working on... Comments, suggestions, ideas? This is my first blind, it will be for Windows 7 only. Am going for a very clean, easy to use blind with a fully transparent task bar application area so the icons "float" on the desktop.

Your REGISTRY which holds oodles of information on how each program is supposed to work was not transferred, as it was a clean install. So, yes, you would have to reinstall all programs (or in many cases 64 bit new versions of said programs) to get things working "as before." Also keep in mind you may have programs that used to work just fine that will NEVER work if they were 16 bit. The 32-bit windows would run 16-bit programs, but the default for 64 bit Windows 7 is not to run any 16 bit ap

Median can be extremely misleading as all it means are half are bigger and half are smaller. You need to look at average as well, this is the more indicative number when it comes to conspicuous consumption, and I am betting the US leads the world on that one.

There is almost no reason NOT to have onboard video. And in general, you don't care about the drivers for it, as if your main board goes south (like mine did a month ago) just take it out, boot up and Windows will load and use a generic VGA driver which should work with any onboard video.
