I agree 100% with vStyler. I had one of those cards. It acted like crap on my machine. I switched to an Nvidia card, and now everything's wonderful. HOWEVER-- my machine has an intel chip. I have heard that ATI cards work well with AMD processors...
I believe the slow site is mostly due to the fact that there is a site overhaul in progress. Kind of like road work, ya know? We still get to browse while they work, but sometimes it's slower for us. It'll end up okay.
I get this too, but only with Adobe InDesign CS4, which doesn't even skin. Maybe try the AutoConfig settings on your monitor?
When Flash 10 first came out, all of Stardock's sites had trouble with it. Most of the problems have been fixed, but I'm not sure if the uploading problem has. I run flash 10 on my 2 main computers, and I have not uploaded from them for months. Ever since I got Flash 10 (with cs4) on my main computers, my uploads have been done with my older XP machine which still has Flash 8. Flash 9 also works, though. Hope this helps. [e digicons]:)[/e]
Skin Studio 6. Do you have the Object Desktop bundle? If so, Skin Studio is available to you through Impulse.
A zipped file is fine. Do you happen to be running Flash 10? If so, try uploading using a computer that has an earlier version of Flash.

Good response, Syd. I wholeheartedly agree. Regardless of the occasional issues, WC is a great place to be. I for one am willing to put up with the occasional inconveniences because it is pretty obvious that they are due to site maintenance, which ulitmately make this site even better. I'm on 64-Bit Vista as well. I haven't a clue why you can't see that option. Maybe you should try uninstalling and reinstalling SKS6? And maybe try disabling your anti-virus when updating/installing through Impulse.
