I use a "large" ship with warp bubble on it. I use it as a starship carrier to transport "tiny" fighters into battle faster. The ship has some defenses and weapons so its an attractive target. The tiny fighters however have no defenses but lots of weapons. The enemy attacks the carrier but then gets obliterated by my fighters.

Cool. Ok so I can throw spies at the other races until I get to the Advanced level and then pull them for other uses.

Was looking at the FAQ on the website and found 4 examples of random events. I've seen number 4 happen but I've never seen the first 3. Do they still happen? Some of you have touched upon this already but unless we encounter a hostile alien race our hatred of our neighbors(especially the ones that don't return that hammer you loaned them for like 3 months now) will just spread across explore space. West vs East, North vs South, or Religon vs Religion will still be at each other's throats just to control the new resources. The game Starlancer demonstrates this well.

[/quote] Seeing that the Myans were wrong about every other prophecy they had and everytime something went wrong all they just did was increase the number of human sacrifices I don't put much stock in their end of the world scenario. HOWEVER . . . December 2012 would be around the end of Hillary's first term of office so yeah it would be the end of days.

Question about Espionage Levels. In DL when I had cut back on espionage funding I would lower in level of intel on a race. However I have not seen this in DA or TA. Once I achieve Advanced on a race or whatever level and I either take off my spies or they get nullified I never seem to drop in level. Is this the way its suppose to be or have I not been playing long enough to see it drop.

Well I'm addicted to the forum so I most certainly followed the instructions to uninstall first. So thanks anyway for that. Then I tried to threaten to kick it like Gizmo said to but it called my bluff. Thankfully Kryo's suggestion to simply reboot did the trick. Thanks guys. Oh and since I finally did get it to work, I see that the Creat New Opponents feature is still not working?

No Text in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

Ok well the TA beta worked fine but the regular game seems to have an issue with text. I can't see any wording. For example in the main menu the buttons still work but if I didn't know already what they said I'd be lost. Can anyone help?

Well it could be argued that England as the Kingdom is known was dissolved for a short period of time since it was a Republic during the time of Cromwell after the civil war. However the monarchy was restored and interestingly enough and by following the royal family tree the current Queen and to include the future heirs, Charles and William you can trace an unbroken bloodline between them and William the 1st in 1066.
