I don’t actually use Photoshop to do my graphics, I use CorelDRAW. In this case Corel 11. Most of the “Inner glow” in the Christmas time skin was done this way. I use the Mesh fill tool to make the Objects. I fill them with a blend form a lighter color to a darker color. Then I Put a White Glare object on top, feather it out with the Interactive Transparency tool. And to top it all off, you can Pull a drop shadow off it, with the drop shadow

One thing to remeber is that this is just a sketch, there will be many more, and there will be several Artist doing them. What the final orcs look like could be completly differant. Also, in game, the modles will prittlymush be limited by Polygons, how many orcs will be in cut seans, etc. has yet to be seen. We may never se a close up of an ork. We shall see. PS. One thing to note, is that Corel was bought by Vector Graphics last year, so the Who knows what the results will be. I am hopeing for the best. Not just for PSP but for CorelDRAW, witch has been getting a bit out of hand of late. Perhaps they will Put a bit more polish into, and work on stability.

I uploaded it as a DX pack, but for some reason my server is converting it to zip when you download it. All you need to do is change the .zip to .dxpack, and you will be good to go.

Thanks for the tip, I have just learned about pointers and have not quite got it down when is the best time to use them. However, I did the above sample the way I did, simple to keep it simple, and so you could just slap it onto any object. As these little lessons move on, we will talk more about optimizing the code. My hope with this example is just to get things started for the Newbies, including myself.
