I think my hopes fora totally mobile mounted army are finally getting playable with the latest version. I haven't however thought about my huns riding anything but horses. Maybe there is a future in this whole unique mounting system. I have always said that we should have domesticated and ridden bears into battle against the huns. [e digicons]\o/[/e]

That made me want shadow walk from the illusion school in D&D.
1. Spellname: Shadow Walk 2. Strategic 3. Arcane Knowledge: 50 4. Mana: 9 +1/unit transported 5. Air, Earth 6. Allows passage to the shadow plane for all in one's party. Can reemerge anywhere, except in visible range of any factions you are at war with. 7. Book of Shadows 8. This spell is used like teleport withthe advantage of not having to go to a city. You can use it to guerilla your way out of a losing war, if you've got the ele
"Exactly, I know what my kids are doing when online ( even though they have their own account as a limited user and can't install anything without my permission)It's all part of being a responsible parent. If they don't abide my rules while being on the computer then I password protect the account and they won't use the pc no if's,and's, or but's." Its nice to see a responsible parent out there. Wish mine had done some of that for me. I might not have had to learn the h
If i have it right, 2 attack speed means two strikes to a unit with one attack speed. Plate decreases you attack speed significantly as does large weapons. You can increase this with magic and some Kingdom equipments.
Armor is already balanced by attack speed. Stop trolling!
I like the idea that forests, since we can't mill them anymore, hold all the danger and creatures of a german fairytale. In no one has told you today Elemental team, You Freaking Rock! You guys are the reason we won our indepence, to make better games! Long live the Frogboy! [e digicons]:frogboy:[/e] &
I don't want to have an army limit my building options that make my army stronger. [e digicons]
All of my kids are weak too, it seems to be a random variable between 1 and the parent's stat. It should be the prent's stat + or - 3. The bright side is that you can just level them up by sending them into commbat as your second in command and they will level like stairs.
Psychoak has a good point. And never forget that this whole game is very moddable, even to the extent of making your own economic system. One thing that I think will get balanced in the next few weeks is the space in each outpost and town. They were probably set higher to let testers build every bulding and see if it worked out. Once these are cut by say 35%, we won't have cookie cutter towns, and the economy will be more complex. The first mod I see people creeating is a flavor. We n
I think we are a lazy enough civilization without marijuana.
I have had the same problem with the AI's sov moving out of his town. But he was Fallen.
One thing that caught me is how different play styles seem to determine whether or not someone likes the current system. As it stands in the public beta, we have to pay more for newly founded cities and the price goes up to stop city spamming. I suggest that this will disallow players who want to have several weaker villages as opposed to a few powerful cities. I suggest that we begin to count the number of cities by total population as opposed to total number of cities. We could do t
Settlers of Cataan Mod- The same game with no battles and primitive game mechanics. Someone should though, just in case I get bored of my Super Mario World mod.
I am and I can't. Must just be a kingdom thing.
This is niether here nor there but I also can't use a lot of my other resources, like the old growth-->lumbermill and crystalrocks-->enchantmentmine. I am left wanting wood and fire swords...
Maybe the great solution to lack of shards at the start is a simple trait that specifies a shard at your starting location, like the iron trait.
I have same problem. I guess they will fix it for the next round of testing.
Maybe a way to solve some of the lack of uniqueness in building could be to decrease the amount of free space in tier 2 and 3 of the cities. This would be a simple and effective way to cause players to make more decisions and customize each city on their own.
Well I guess none of this matters since we can get food from wild gardens but has anyone noticed that refugee camps are totally broken? Its been like this for two weeks and no one seems to care. Sure would make my first city easier to populate though.
Where the is the gore-ram Kingdom recruitment resource? Maybe they should get bunnies or something.
Denryu, that is pure genius.
Every time I reload a game the darn civ report on the right side feels the need to show me everything I have ever built.
Ageans are always good too.
Well... One of my strategies against human players will be to ahve most of my forces hidden at X and then teleport them with a magic user to defend any allied territory. It takes little mana and you can still move after the teleport. Negates the need for roads and for defending every town at once. I wouldn't consider this an exploit of the game, but a valid magical strategy.
