I have also added a test readme.txt file to GalCiv. So GalCiv should show there is an update. So for those who were having downloading problems in the past can test the new DGM by updating GalCiv.

The Drengin Game Manager has been updated. 0.67 fixes the errors SDS0004 File could not be retrieved and Fatal Exception error#13, Type Mismatch during loading of the dgm and installation of games. So hopefully all the installation errors have been ironed out at this time. Do to the nature of these errors there is a good chance that the DGM will not be able to auto update so its recommended you download the full version and reinstall the DGM. The latest ver
Hey AHatfield, Yes, most likely its a cookie problem. Just logoff and relogon again. That should fix it. Pat
Though I am not familar with mySQL or PHP, I do know that in ASP trying to code error handling is not very simple. You put in error handling when you know you absolutely need it or until you find something that comes up often. So initially I could understand why the error message would turn up. But after it coming up enough you would hope that they would attempt to but in some error handling around it. And yes, WinCustomize has had its share of errors display. I try to keep
"msgboard.asp?id=61975&cmd=showall this shows the entire thread for the brave, try that on the marathon thread! " What did our server ever do to you? Is that really the way to repay the hard work it has been giving you over the last year and a half? It doesn't have 9 lives like you do!
Are you familar with the WinCustomize Summer and Fall CD's of 2001? Well, new editions(volumes) of those for 2002 will becoming out soon and they will work with SkinBrowser.
We did approach Trillian about setting up a section here. An initial response from them sounded like it was going to happen but then we never hear back from them. Maybe sometime in the near future we will try again.
Technician: Yes, Drengin serial number or GalCiv serial number will work. Looks like I need to edit the page to make that more clear. Gherardo: No I didn't see any score submissions for you :( Magus: It appears you submitted under two different player names, Magus and Alias. Presently, only one player name can be registered at a time. Dominic: Were you connected? As stated above you must be connected in order to have the option to submit. This will be fixed in la
I received an email the other day and I assume its from the same person. They were asking me if it was ok to use the skins from WinCustomize to place on their site. I informed them that the skins were the property of the authors and that they would need to seek permission from the authors directly. So though their communication skills are lacking it does appear that they are at least trying to do the right thing.
I can tell you now that there will not be an update to SkinBrowser for a couple of weeks as the author is on a well deserved vacation.
The problem is that we have changed the path to where the files are stored and the library.ini file in the skinbrowser directory is not getting updated properly (we are looking into this). But as a quick fix if you delete your library.ini file and restart SkinBrowser it should correct the problem.
Apprentice access on up has been added.
/me puts a bag over his head. GO LIONS!!!
Fastfxr, try clearing your temporary internet files. Maybe that will help. NanB, Try logging off and then back on again.
Anyone else?
Ok, checked with Scott and here is how it works. Once the end of the game is reached it checks to see if you are connect. If you are not connected then you do not have the option to submit your score. And unless you had previously saved your game there is no way to go back and load you finished game after you have connect to the internet to submit it. So Scott and Cari have put that on their list of things to do. Once they get some system implented where you can go b
The problem has already been taken care of. The developer in question was severely reprimanded for his lack of attention to detail! If it happens again a public caneing will occur.
That is a good question. I don't have the answer for that one. Boogiebac should know. I will try and get ahold of him and find out.
Isn't it obvious? Apparently the person who coded that hasn't a clue as to what he is doing and most likely couldn't hold a job other than being a janitor!
It was a problem with a script change on the server. It has been corrected. If you still experience problems then refresh the library database.
And while we are mentioning it would be great if people would refrain from throwing an XP logo on to their wall as well. I have seen many wallpapers that look great on their own but for some reason the author felt compelled to place an XP logo on it. It usually has no bearing on the original view of the wallpaper what-so-ever other than the author trying to receive download counts. So it would be appreciated if authors would use some self control and stay away from that XP Logo <img s
Yes at some point during the beta the Metaverse will be restarted and it will most likely be restarted when GalCiv goes Gold. However the Metaverse is part of the entire experience and we would love for people to fully utilize even during the beta. As with any system there are bound to be bugs and issues. We do have greater plans for the metaverse in the near future but this is the first step.
I have a new build of the DGM that I plan on using to update the main install of the DGM. It contains a few more tweaks to the download and date code. So if some of you fine people out there wouldn't mind testing it for me I would greatly appreciate it! http://www.drengin.net/temp/Drengin_066_090.zip
While doing maintence I've been moving files around. So thats the cause of the problem. To fix it go to the View menu and click on "Refresh Site Updates Data". You may also need to Refresh the Library Database depending on how old it is. Then close/reopen the Skin Browser and you should be all set.
"we exchanged tapes ofcourse to not go broke on buying records and nobody saw this as theft." - Lecrayon I disagree there. Back when I was a teenager and younger (80's) i very well understood that copying tapes that you did not buy was not legal. Though I did copy an occasional album from a friend I did understand that it really was not right. And I think most people understood that as well but it was more widely accepted. I think part of the reason it was more accept
