My memory is a little blurry, but my guess for me would be anywhere from 2003 to 2009, somewhere around that time frame. I have a clear memory of using it in 2009, 2010, but it also seems like I was using it before then. I must have collected at least 100 or more various .wba skins and themes over the years.....

Is it possible that the .wba files could be somehow corrupt or messed up due to a bad download? That sometimes happens, not because of anything that Wincustomize or Stardock has done, but because of a problematic internet connection of some sort. Or perhaps Windowblinds itself is messed up somehow, and should be redownloaded and reinstalled. Has a simple reboot been tried? Other things to look at are possible memory issues, power supply issues, though I doubt that that is the issue here, but

Personally, I have never experienced such a issue. Odd. Since there are usually alternatives, perhaps using a different browser can help. Keep trying alternatives. I find it difficult to believe that you would continue to see this with all of these other browsers, such as Brave, Vivaldi, Opera, Pale Moon, Epic, IE (yes, I know it's ancient),etc., unless there is possibly something going on with your machine like a virus, or malware, or something. A memory issue could be another area of concer

That sure sounds weird. Works for a while, but then stops. Have you used Windows troubleshooting to try to figure out the cause, or have you checked the device properties on the sound? I wonder if a faulty driver could be a bad guy. However, I am not an expert on computer sound issues. But it's good to be back, I've been offline because of ice storm issues here in the Pacific Northwest. If anyone else has any feedback on this, I am sure it will be welcome. You may want to try this suggestion I found on a earlier post from Neil Banfield... "...If you right click on wb11config.exe and pick properties and then digital signatures you should see an error. If you wait 10 mins and then reboot it may help."

There is a easy alternative, if one is open and willing to try another browser other than Mozilla's Firefox. I am using Pale Moon, and it skins very easily, with no needs for extras like Resource Hacker, etc. Pale Moon has some relation to Firefox, and yet is independant enough to be more easily customized in some ways. Just a suggestion or a alternate option to consider.

Dave, thank you for your input. I found a way to make it bigger. It's not perfect, but better than it was, and it is acceptable now. The secret was to trim the empty spaces a tad between the button elements and the margin of the file, a space which contained transparency. All I had to do was just tinker with it a little.

I have contacted the Lakers organization to ask them about my fan creation. It is very likely that they will ignore my email. So it will probably just be for my own use only. I may copy and modify the theme and repurpose it for some other idea in the future. Maybe it's just as well. The Lakers have a lot of haters, lol! Doesn't bother me in the least. After all, it's only a ball game, not a medical emergency.

I started to create a new blind using Diamond as a template. I built a new start menu there. Then I noticed that there was this issue. Then, I experienced the same issue after creating a new start menu using "8 for 7" as a template. I wanted to see if it would happen again, or if it would not happen because of different measurements. I am now wondering if it is a glitch caused by duplicate files, meaning that I am not using the original Diamond start menu or the original "8 for 7" start

Is there a reason why my new start menu is flickering on the left side when I mouse over various icons, but there is no flicker on the right side? I am working on a new skin, and it seems like this may be the bug I have the most trouble with. Nothing else has been skinned or changed, just the start menu. Dr. JBHL has made some valid points that I wasn't considering. I have 3 blinds of my own, trouble is, I am green behind the ears, and they have glitches that I do not know how to fix. I find that Skinstudio is complicated and tricky to navigate, so for now, I just use my own blinds for my own personal use. Just thankful that I can contribute to the community in other ways. Thank you, Lightstar for all that you do!

I can remember when sometimes there would be several new skins on the Windowblinds gallery, daily! Like around 2005, for example. From around 2003 I suppose, up to around early 2023, there were quite a number of very special and unique and wonderful skins available to download, even if the better ones were Master Skins that weren't free. 2005 - 2012 were the golden years, IMO, and 2012-early 2023 were still great years, but the aura wasn't quite as bright as it was. I kinda miss those days. S
