I have been a long time player of Gal Civ II, but recently I had to rebuild my system due to a windows corruption problem. Having now reinstalled the game on a freshly installed windows os I have encountered a problem. When I attempt to set the ship launch direction the highlighted area around the planet appears and I make my selection but the setting remains the same default (lower right) setting. Anybody have a clue to what is wrong. It has b

I am experiencing a problem with GCII. I have played about a dozen games now and three of them have come to abrubt ends. I reach a point where I take a turn and the game never returns. To be more specific the "Turn" button never reappears and I am unable to continue. I usually play long game (thousands of turns) and this has only happened late in the game. Once this occurs I am unable to proceed even if I reload the autosave or previous autosave game as the probl

I purchased Galciv II Dread Lords Gold Edition which includes the Dark Avatar expansion several months ago. I played the DA game for a 2 or 3 months and everything was fine. This weekend I installed Impulse and downloaded the latest patches and tried to fire up DA. The top 4/5 of the screen turns black, while the bottom 1/5 remains the desktop and then nothing. DL seems to work fine. I updated my bios and video drivers, but this did not change the behavior. * What OS yo
