Searching the forums before posting is looked at as proper net-iquette... Patch 1.1 will come with some NAT-T (NAT-traversal) changes to SINS netcode so if you can't forward ports (ie. follow the steps in my Networking and SINS guide) then you'll have to wait for patch 1.1. the Monk

@ trackiet All of which I've covered in my guide and/or other posts to these forums. I have been posting about v1.1 and waiting for it's NAT-T type enhancements as an alternative to following the steps in my guide since Blair posted about it back weeks before even 1.04 came out. None of that changes the fact that you claim my guide is damaging to people... (did you even read my reply post #10?)
Your guide to troubleshooting on how to host is bad and leav
im on trackiets side there are too many issues with this game and im tired of the lack of support do everything yourself and the fanboys. I paid my money and expected a working game not a glitched one. The same reason im not buying anymore from the developers of Two worlds i probably wont buy any more from here unless the fix the issues in a week.
As I've always said... to quote myself from another thread...
Your guide to troubleshooting on how to host is bad and leaves their computer open to attacks. Many have stated reason why its bad to use your guide so I dont have to reiterate them.
@ Trackiet ??? Now I really know that you have no idea what you're talking about! What is it with people not understanding that opening/forwarding a couple of ports doesn't make one's system inherently vulnerable, especially when there isn't anything "listening" on said po

Oh go ahead......take all the value out of the CE I paid for... ;p Seriously, to answer your question.....yes there are downloadable versions of the tech-trees I just don't remember the threads to point you to at the moment. Try a forum search... the Monk
Well the games still be hosted by players or a stardock server
@ trackiet You don't seem to get it. One cannot simply "flip a switch" and change a game from P2P to client-server. Please stop asking the same redundant questions, they are getting annoying to say the least... the Monk

*sigh* ....Please make sure that one of the following is not the case: 1. Are you loading a saved-game from a previous game version? If so, don't. (If you had read the patch notes you'd know that this will make your game crash, saved-games are not forward compatible) 2. If you're trying to load from a saved-game just prior to a mini-dump and this was/is a MP game, the mini-dump was probably de-sync related and therefore the save was most lik

Umm....obviously something has change (somewhere). You just haven't found what has changed. By the way, trusting school IT guys to tell you the truth is.........well...... the Monk

I'm sure you have also been able to discern where and when posters have been given "the what for" because the answer to their question(s) is in a sticky and they simply haven't given the effort to peruse the forums and instead opted for the "post-and-I-better-get-an-answer-dammit!" method. thanks, the Monk

Umm...when the hell will people READ the patch notes?? BEFORE patching their games? Sorry folks, I have no sympathy for you. Your parents I'm sure taught you to RTFM before assembly of anything/everything. Your loss. ;p

@ StarscreamX Actually yes it does. I can't be more router-specific in my guide or it won't be helpful for anyone other than those with a specific router make/model. I you can't find the "port-forwarding" section on your specific router, either read the manual for your router or click the "help" button when on your router. thanks, the Monk

quoting myself from another identical thread..... Yes. Here are my suggestions: 1. You should search forums. All of the information I'm about to give you is already here. 2. Download, read/follow the steps in my guide and you'll be playing together. Done. My guide "Networking and SINS" can be found in several places here: 1. My stickied thread in the "Technical" forum under the GREEN writing in the OP 2. The "Technical FAQ" at the very

Yes quite obviously. :) Network traffic is network traffic, doesn't matter when it occurs. Something on your end is blocking/filtering SINS network traffic. If you won't/can't follow the steps in my guide you'll have to wait for the "tunneling" netcode of patch 1.1 (which I hope will remain optional as personally I'm not a fan of anything "tunneling" past/through my controls). the Monk

Make sure you're using Main Menu >> Multiplayer to create the game on the one machine, and Main Menu >> Multiplayer to join the game from the other machine. Don't use ICO In the "address" section under Multiplayer >> Join input the LAN IP address of the machine on your LAN that is hosting the game. Done. the Monk

CenturionJixra, For each internal IP you need a unique GameHostPort and a unique GameBroadcastPort if you plan to host seperate games from multiple machines behind the same router. ie. Internal IP GameHostPort GameBroadcastPort 192.168.1.2 6112 6000 192.168.1.36 6113 6001 Those were not port ranges the devs posted. One of the ports is the GAMEHOSTPORT, and the other is the GAMEBROAD
Yes, that was the FAQ I was following...the problem is that some of the steps aren't applicable...particularly step 4. I typed the under start and end. Was that right? Also, my PC's IP was listed, with a blank last box...which I left blank. It's hard for me to explain, as I'm not a technical person at all (can you tell). I hope I'm making sense.
No worries then. Catch me on xfire (the1monk), we'll set up a time when you and I can be on my TS Server (TeamSpeak) and I
