"Not saying you fall into the majority pm41, but unfortunately the majority of the general public tends to get pissed when the beta doesn't work exactly as they think it should, they're not ready for it & don't know what to do next and they bitch and moan instead of being constructive." Yeah...I agree. More people than we realize use these kinds of programs. If Stardock just made all betas public, people would complain so much that the good criticism will be buried in a sea of complai

"Our milestone-to-milestone approach for Windows 7 is built on a great deal of feedback from customers and testers. This has been pivotal to the development of Windows 7. I blogged a few weeks ago that it’s looking like we’ll have Windows 7 ready in time for the holidays. Since then we’ve made enough progress to feel really good about announcing today that Windows 7 will be in stores beginning October 22nd." -Brandon LeBlanc SOURCE: http://windowsteamblog.com/blogs/windows7/ar

To those who can't get their Vista partition to show up under Win 7 and are freaking out right now: 1. Right-click My Computer. 2. Click "Manage". (Note that UAC might pop up.) We all know of skinnable browsers like Firefox, Opera, ect. But think about this: How about a browser where you can change virtually every aspect of it (even the titlebar and window borders) to your liking while having add-ons that make the web browser truely your own? That's where my idea of Stardock creating a completely customizable web browsing experience comes into focus. Stardock is famous for turning a Windows UI into something extrordinary. But how about an app

They do release free themes periodicly for those who don't have Object Desktop, WindowBlinds, IconPackager, that sort of stuff...Like me. I skin my computer through MyColors. Just look at the sreenshots I've submitted and you'll see that even restricted skinners like me can make a pretty kickin' desktop.

I didn't even own a computer back in 1995! I got my first one (Gateway 2000) in 1998. (It had Windows 95 on it.) I credit my love for technology to the fact that I crashed it after 3 days of using it. I then got a tutorial "tape" (what do those look like again?) that I watched over and over. But even then I used those old iMacs that just beep at you (they didn't even have mice!) at school until 2000.

Your Comment | My Comment 1) I hate the start menu - what a pig to use | I disagree...I love the new Search box in the Start menu. 2) That folder mouseover drives me nuts | Live Folders? They only did it as a graphics feature. 3) It likes to randomly reset folder views to pictures, no matter how many times I set it to files | Most average joe users perfer the thumbnails over all other views. Nice! After the release, you guys should try to incorporate some sort of animation into the skins. Also, on a bit offtopic note, are you creating LogonStudio Vista 2.0? If so, are we gonna be able to have truly custom logon screens again (like the ones in the XP gallery)?
