[e digicons]k6[/e] Neil - worked like a charm - problem solved! [e digicons]:star:[/e] Lightstar - I will make my own skin someday !!! "Hilight" - just when I was beginning to think that proper spelling was used in Windowblinds, if you know what I mean! [e digicons]:frogboy:[/e]

I had the same problem on Vista. I was never completely sure what caused it. I never particularly suspected WB - but since it was always running on the machine, I guess it's a possibility. The problem did not occur in Safe mode with Networking. I could not be bothered to trouble-shoot it since there was no other ill-effect. Instead I rebooted in Safe mode with networking every now and then to run the updater (Note: you don't *really* need to run it any more often than once a month

Just one question - am I being stupid, or is it not possible to make the Tabbed bar more transparent? There is a setting for this for the regular bar, but I can't find any for my new (otherwise perfect) tabbed bar??

I have installed a theme combination that I am happy with (Laguna + Miricla mix), I changed the colour of both to beige. The only problem is that the Windows highlighting colour has become too dark. I want to change it. What can I do? See example below. The highligth colour is dark purple! I want a pale shade. <img src="file:///C:/Users/Hanna/AppData/Local/Temp/moz-screens

emc2 - Neil Banfield who is on this forum wrote in an earlier post that this feature is about to get dropped. See link from Bichur. ----------------- I use this feature because I like to keep the taskbar vertically on the screen. At least 50% of themes cannot do this properly. [e digicons] So I remember which themes are properly customised for verti
I use it and I feel it should be included in the new WB7. Anything that expands the ability to customize should be included
Great to hear that somebody agrees - come on WB users, check out this feature if you haven't already, and don't forget to post if you'd like to keep it! If you don't speak up it will disappear!

Is it possible to have two parallel rows of icons in Object Dock? At the moment I keep two object docks vertically, next to each other to achieve this effect. But it would be nicer if it could all be done from one dock....

If you are a long-term WB user you have probably discovered the option for using a DIFFERENT theme for the taskbar than for the windows. This feature works well and is awesomel. [e digicons][/e] It exponentially increases the number of possible customisation options. For example, you could use the windows from "Aero Frost" and the taskbar from "Laguna". </s

Bichur - WB6 doesn't run on Win7. Plus because I've upgraded my OS there is no way to tell for sure where the problem lies anyway - it might as well be something in Windows 7.... Anyway, I'm not in the Stardock test team... I'm just going to report what I find. They have test facilites and time. I don't. It's up to them if they choose to do something about problems or not. But take it from someone who's been there, done that... if you release software with too many

Thanks - glad to hear it's not a bug. It sure looks ugly though - and remember, Aero draws a big fat shadow under iTunes, so most people will expect the same in WB, I think. Best thing was if WB had a shadow control, so that people could control how much or how little shadow they have. Some may hate it, but most like it. The Stardock suite was fantastic on XP and I really missed windowfx/ on Vista.

vStyler - Thanks for investigating the situation with the old theme.. The iTunes is the very latest release from Apple and the problem doesn't happen when WB is disabled... That's why I thought it must be a bug or at least some kind if incompatibility. Since iTunes is such a commonly used application --- it ought to look good in WB ! [e digicons]:*[/e] Do you know anything about: PS - re the shadow - Sta

OK - Well, I have been using this feature for several years. It's one of my favourite things about WB and it makes it so much more flexible. Basically it increases the number of possible custimisations exponentially - with a simple functionality that already exists. I would like it to remain. I don't think I'm the only one. Judging from the level of activity on this site and on Wincustomize.com I think there are many people who are a lot more into WB than I am . Probably many

@Neil - I have posted about the other issues I have found here in this forum, today. Just check for my posts. @vStyler - In that screenshot I think the other windows have a shadow. However the theme "myHomestead" which I used on Vista have no dropshadows now, whereas it had them on Vista. Same with some other older themes. However I've been focussing on fixing my machine, so I haven't particularly looked for this problem. For a while I thought it was fully solved - then it appea

Yes, I ran Windows experience last week. I had just installed Windows 7 and ran it twice after I did some overclocking of the hardware. The point of the screenshot is to show how there is no shadow for iTunes (I explained that, but you must have missed it). I mostly made the screenshot for the benefit of Stardock. I am pretty sure that this is a bug. It needs some more investigation though. After spending quite a bit of

When I maximise Windows Explorer, the background turns dark grey. It doesn't matter which theme is installed. It doesn't matter what background texture has been chosen (if any) for Explorer. The problem does not occur if WB 7 is not loaded. Your computer has a Windows Experience Index base score of 5.6 Your Windows Graphics Experience score is 6.4 WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 7.0 (build 220 - Windows 7

Thanks for the tips! Would somebody from Stardock be able to comment on the first question? I really like to be able to mix the taskbar from one theme with the windows from another . This is possible in WB 6 from the standard GUI. But I cannot find it in WB 7. Will this be supported in WB 7 when the new user interface becomes permanent? &nbsp

Yeah, Ablev I'm tempted to agree with you... Hoping for a better release soon. Upon further thought I DID in fact update my WB to the latest build on the day that this started. I just assumed I had triggered the problem myself by messing around too much. But this could be a regression that was introduced with the latest build. So when will the next build come out?

Thanks! Yeah, that setting is precisely what I meant. I have tried all settings on that tab in OD+ including shutting down the ObjectDock completely. (killing the process AND also letting it shut by itself.). No success though. It's impossible not to suspect this functionality (since it is related to the area that causes problems) but there seems to be nothing I can do with it that makes the problem go away.
