The Mad Vasari, the partisans, and the gamma burst are the worst by far...they can royally screw a player, either by wiping out their HW population or by feeding their opponent XP for their titan/caps...they are fine I suppose for SP (if you like having seizures), but for MP they are shunned...

So, a thought struck me today: do spawned squadrons regenerate SC? Well, I spawned a skirantra and hit scramble bombers, killed a few off, and then waited to see if they regenerated...they didn't, because they don't have a host per se to build them... Then I alt-tabbed, did a few things, and when I came back, the planet that the skirantra was at was being attacked by pirates...pirates, and a plasma storm....the funny thing was that all these bombers were still flying aro

One of the very first things you should do is make sure at least one lab is being built...usually this is a military lab, but regardless you need one ASAP so you can get your first fleet upgrade...when it comes to winning the spamfest, the last thing you want to do is have a pause in production because you don't have enough fleet supply... You also need to scout the nearby planets so you can rush the key choke points quickly and efficiently...the worst thing you can do, especially
It is important to keep in mind that the AI will automatically set all abilities to autocast
I don't believe this is the case...repulsion is an excellent example, I have never seen the AI use it in vanilla where autocast is not set on by default....if you mod repulsion to have autocast on by default, the AI will use the ability (albeit not intelligently)... SB construction and ultimate abilities may be exceptions -- the AI may still use tho

You can almost always determine your role simply by looking at map startup...if you are frontliner or suicide, you should be spamming LFs as fast as possible....you MUST build at least one lab ASAP so you can increase your fleet supply...I'd suggest a military (just to be on the safe side) but as you become more confident, you can lead with 1 civ as TEC for modular architecture instead... You should be building LFs almost constant...start with researching nothing in the

Let me discuss 3 recent games that involved suicide players... In the first game, Oli was in suicide, surrounded by 2 decently skilled players and I was his eco...early feed and continual feed allowed him to have a giant fleet and hold several planets....by the end of the game, Oli was fighting a 4v1, I as eco never had to fleet, and he still was holding on to several planets...he played his position very well and the combination of his excellent play and large amounts of fee

Two other abilities you may want to consider working on is the phasing ability on the Vasari scout and the phasic barrier on Vasari structures... The scout ability only channels while the scout is taking damage...problem is, you can't take damage while in phase space...so instead the scout toggles in and out of phase space, getting itself killed anyway...ability needs to keep it in phase space for a good amount of time...might be one of those you leave the autocast off by default,

My opinions, take them as you will... Flak burst, use option 1....no need for a debuff, the only issue with flak burst is that it is hard to dependably hit a lot of SC while microing...if the ability fires in waves, that will be more than enough to make this ability excellent even with only a single kol... Animosity -- the issue is the range and the target cap, you need to focus on those and not finding interesting debuffs...the ability needs to be effec

I once meant one of those people who believe the rapture is imminent...just to troll them, I told them that Nostradamus had already determined the rapture to be in sometime in the 25th century, so they obviously must be wrong....well, the punk took me seriously and finished with the killing argument: "Just wait another few years, and we'll see who's laughing when you disbelievers are still cowering on earth while we are in the kingdom of God."
