Wouldn't it be Irondock? Either works I suppose...both are shorter than typing out the 2 names combined... I think the real issue is that a similar study done by Accuvant showed that all browsers were more or less equally competent (or incompetent) at the same thing measured here by NSS...the main difference is that Accuvant used a lot more sites and apps compared to NSS... It isn't too far fetched to imagine that NSS simply picked websites that IE 10 will block but the other browsers don't...

Sins has always been a game much better at MP than at SP.... And yet, Sins audience has always been dominated by the SP player... There's a fundamental conflict of interest...starclad has a game with stronger MP elements than SP elements yet most of the people playing it are from the SP crowd...given the current state of things, adding things for the SP group is probably the better business decision...

Early game is first 15-20 minutes...if you are a frontliner or suicide and are building a fleet (as you should be), you are not getting a titan within that time frame unless you receive an ungodly amount of feed or are next to a noob... Eco players usually don't bring out titans or feed for titans before the 15-20 minute mark (vasari were occasional exception, but mainly for reasons nullified by the new patch)...when they do (which is usually around that time), the game h

The "browsers" are not IE 8, IE 9, IE 10 etc...the "browsers" are IE, chrome, safari, etc.... IE as a whole is most certainly in the top 5, and as such the research used the best IE browser just as they used the best firefox and best chrome etc... In any case, WHO CARES? This is about being secure, and if IE10 is more secure than the other 4 does it really matter whether 6% or 60% use it? FYI, since the focus is on mobile devices, there is no way IE9 or

You are not getting 3 labs of any sort and all the unlocked ship upgrades before you are getting Orky rushed...if someone tries to Orky rush you at that stage of the game while your fleet is there, you will kill the Orky pretty much regardless of what ships you have... No one is questioning the Marza's awesomeness at focus firing...but that is independent of the quality of cobalts vs. disciples, and even more irrelevant when talking about fleet battles (which is what this entire t

They basically generate extra resources....a refinery pulls from all extractors at the planet it's built at as well as all planets within one jump...it's a fixed rate of income per extractor... The whole 1/3 or 3/3 is related to quota...a single extractor can only contribute to 3 refineries, regardless of where those refineries are... Generally speaking, refineries aren't worth building unless you are playing a mod that balances them...it usually takes a lot</e

Giving a statement made by Yarlen earlier, this (or something similar) is probably the inspiration for the new planet types... http://www.nasa.gov/vision/universe/starsgalaxies/earthsized_planets.html I would assume the "Ferrus" planet is basically a pure iron planet... If I may make a suggestion, change the name to Ferrous as that makes far more sense....

FYI, your faction matters significantly....TEC can get away with using their corvettes to beat up on other factions corvettes...other factions can't.... Flak is to be avoided if you can, mainly because it is useless for many of the essential early game tasks (killing SBs, focusing on caps, taking out structures)....it also is the most expensive and builds the slowest of the 4 early game frigates (on per fleet supply basis)...basically, you are investing a lot of time and resources

These are the things I want to see: New planet types ...I'm talking about the types used for colonization and population techs...if those aren't added then the new planets don't serve any purpose to modding... Planet specialization is very flexible and moddable...ideally, we wouldn't be forced to specialize in population/culture or production/trade (for example, maybe I want to specialize in trade/culture or population/pr

I'm not sure how that follows....in the converse situation (TEC player spamming LRMs via feed), the TEC player won't be able to build an LRF fleet or replace LRF losses nearly as fast as a Vasari or Advent would be able to... In short, Advent and Vasari have inherent advantages with the build times of their LRF...

First, to directly answer your question regarding the specific encounter you quoted...disciples use 4 fleet supply while cobalts use 5, so in theory 5 disciples should be equivalent to 4 cobalts (in this case the theory is pretty close to the reality) As for other things, here are my thoughts... In pure LF fights, Cobalts and Disciples are close enough where other factors are going to be far more important...IMO disciples are better because they have more DPS per

May I suggest that social specialization also increase allegiance? Going to be hard to choose culture + population over trade + production when trade dominates your income source (population is mitigated by allegiance) and the "social" planets like terrans are actually the best for production since they hold the most structures..
