How have you had time to actually do anything with anything?
You know you can download stuff on this site without being a member first. I used to do that a long time ago. Maybe "ImpulseSucksAss" was an annonymous user in the past before registering with the site. (Correct me if i'm wrong). So yeah.

I'll try to be optimistic here. Have you checked MSconfig to see if the startup entry "Impulse Now" is checked? And I had problems with Impulse. It crashed everytime I loaded it, so I had to uninstall it. It uninstalled just fine for me. I don't know what your deal is.
I've UNINSTALLED EVERYTHING related to Stardock, including DOWNLOADS
You could download and install Stardock software without installing Imp
With Opera Turbo on, now i'm averaging around 3k ms per refresh and I should probably stop posting now. The past 5 posts were by me. Now it's time for someone else to comment.
I reinstalled Opera 11.1 on my SSD, it's still refreshes at the 7-8k ms range. Still far slower than the other browsers. However, the first load clocked in at 2050ms. So why does refreshing make it load slower? The webpage should be stored in some sort of cache for faster loading.
Just curious , what kind of processor are you running ? And how many REAL memory have you got ? Besides, what kind of connection are you using ?
AMD Phenom II 945 Quad-Core @ 3.00 GHz 8GB of PC10600 DDR3 RAM (I have Vista 64-bit, so ALL 8 gigs are addressed) Wireless-N Broadband. I think the slow performance may have to do with it being installed on a flash drive. Maybe i'll try TURBO to see if it makes a difference. After all, Op
Would having Opera installed on a USB Flash Drive have anything to do with the browser's performance? I always thought that flash memory had faster access times than Hard Drives. But I have an SSD now, so that wouldn't make a difference (between a USB Flash Drive & an SSD).
Refresed this webpage (hitting F5) In Opera 11.1. Page Time Rendered at 11958ms. Maxthon's at 3132ms Pale Moon is at 3820ms IE9 renders at 3512ms. Maybe i'll try Refresing Opera again. This doesn't seem right. *refreshes webpage* Still loaded at 11218ms. This is by far the slowest browser i've used. I'm actually in Maxthon now becuse Opera 11.1 still can't copy & paste text, so I pasted
But that's the server's load time. I'm talking about my machine's load time. Maybe I need to give Opera a whirl for a while longer. Just to see.
Still as slow as ever. I'm writing this post using Opera 11.1. This reminds of me browsing on my old machine with a slow hard drive. Blech. I'm not settling for this. Oh well, back to Maxthon I guess.
What about those of us who don't use FaceBook or Twitter? (like me) And no, using either Facebook or Twitter is not an option for me. I find both of them to be useless.
And another thing about IE9, the download manager doesn't list the transfer rate. Just an estimated time. I always like to know my download speed, ALWAYS! Epic fail MS.
The current version is 3.0
I never said that I was using the newest version. That's the version (2.5.15) i'm currently using. I still like custom themes (which IIRC, 3.0 doesn't have yet), I'm still experimenting with the new browsers. IE9 sucks, and Opera 11 i may keep. I have yet to try the others.
Are you one of the lucky few who has their hands on a new SSD? How well does it perform? From my experience, I have an OCZ Vertex 2 60GB SSD. Here's the lowdown of how my SSD performs: Installing Windows: About 1.5x faster than with my HDD (I installed it both drives on the same day.) Boot Up time: Not much faster, sometimes even slower if it has to configure updates. Logon Screen to Desktop: Almost instantaneous (The "Welcome" screen ap
I finally got IE9 installed. But I also reinstalled my OS (Vista 64-bit) on my fancy new Solid State Drive (SSD). It actually installed unlike when I tried the 32-bit one on my HDD. It's clean, minimal, not my style. But it's loads webpages FAST. (Could be the SSD's speed.) I can't figure out how to add your own sites to the "Your Most Popular Sites" when adding a new tab. It only lists the sites you've recently visited. I
This may be a little off-topic but I installed Opera 11 today, and it does have some quirks. Some sites don't render properly. Loaded the same site in Maxthon (IE Based browser), and loads properly (I think). I also tried installing IE9, but the installation seemed like it was looping and not making any progress, so I quit that. So far, Opera 11 seems better for Youtube & Multimedia viewing ('cause I installed a YouTube addon whic
I updated the screenshot for "Glassphire 2 WIP" (it's now "Update 2"). I just edited the first entry so I could retain the download count, so it isn't "new". Here is the link: https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/screenshots/27026/ Comments are welcome. (BTW, i'm running my Glassphire 2 on my desktop now.)
Very Clean. Those Min/Max/Close buttons are AWESOME!!! I'll download this immediately when finished! Keep up the good work!

*sigh* when will people learn? Of course Facebook is gonna be a big target for crooks, and cybercriminals. People need to know that when things become too popular, hackers/cybercriminals tend to target them. They don't care who you are. They just want your personal/financial info for their personal/financial gain. I'm so glad that I never feel for this trap (obtaining a FaceBook account). Nor do I do Twitter, or MySpace, or any social-networking a
I stopped using IE since version 7 (the last version I used). Didn't like IE8. I thought it was a bunch of unnecessary bulk. I've been using the not-so-popular Maxthon 2 ever since. Hint: The less popular the browser (or any software for that matter), the less likely it'll be exploited for vulnerabilites and attacks. Maxthon serves my needs & purposes. And unlike IE, it's skinnable! Without Windowblinds or 3rd party MS Styles, unlike IE.

Very interesting stuff. Where did you find it all? More! MORE!!! We need MORE!!! You can never know too much! "- All of the digital data in the world is equivalent to one human brain." Um...has this been proven? Is there a way to measure digital to biological knowledge? Well an

Oh, and BTW, nice "Sidebar" killer. We finally have a nice use for that empty space now. (This program instantly reminded me of Vista's Sidebar, because of it's positioning. That's why I said that.)
I love the concept. Love the skinning. Love the concept of a built-in skin editor. Just one question...When are you guy gonna implement skinning in Fences? I've been dying to wanna customize fences!!! (Beyond just the color and transparency) Oops, I may be wrong. Does Fences Pro have skinning? (I have the free one) But anyway, great job. I've been waiting for a while to see what Stardock would do next.
