This may be a little off topic, but I think it's only acceptable to use copyrighted works, or modifications of other people's work for the Screenshots gallery ONLY. Well, the "Graphics" category may slide as well. (i.e. my "Eternal Blaze" screenshot [ https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/screenshots/26943/ ]was a slightly modified version of "Elementals FIRE" I did in Skinstudio. And it went

This may not matter to most of you, but it does for me. I can't believe that today marks the three year anniversary of me joining WinCustomize (Member since 1/15/2008). Remember when I threatened to leave this site? Click http://vistartxposed.wincustomize.com/articles.aspx?aid=354371 to read it. I'm glad that I decided to pull-through and stay as an active member of this community.
I'll try to not use religious references, but I believe that UFOs, Aliens, Psychics, Magic, Evolution, Dinosaurs, Big Foot, the Loch Ness Monster, and the list goes on, are nothing more than a product of mankind's imagination. None of these things truly exist. It's all in our minds... and the media...
This may suprise you all, but I don't use FaceBook or any social-networking site. I don't see the point. Why would I open up my entire world to everybody instead of just an elect few (like WinCustomize) who I actually have things in common with? (OS Customization for example) Let alone, people knowing my REAL identity, of which I won't allow to disclose to anybody*? MY Identity is MY business and I won't become the next "sucker" who joins this or any ot
And nothing stop a PC user to use a bootloader who allow to install multiple OS... it is not unusual for a Mac user to have a dual boot with Mac OS X and Windows OS... myself, i have Linux, Solaris and Windows OS... there is no need to buy a PC for each OS, it is possible to enjoy the best of each OS on a single PC...
I know that Mac users can dual-boot with Windows using BootCamp, but I don't think it works the other way around. *looks up info on Google then Wiki
You know the one disadvantage that both Macs & PCs both suffer? Cost. Linux may be free, but from what I know, the learning curve is difficult and there's not nearly as many compatible programs as with a PC. Even Mac suffers in the free software category. On another note, Macs will NEVER be as customizable as PCs, EVER! Even if Windows is far more insecure, i'll still stick with PCs to make my computer my own. (Isn't that what WinCustomize is abo
I decided to go a little minimalistic this time, but the message is still clear. The background is the "Happy New Year" Dream by amitsaran.
"More Content": For this category, you could add support for the new Windows 7 Phone. Including Wallpapers, WindowBlinds, Icons, etc. "Address lingering site issues": For this, on the site galleries, include the total download counts while browsing the galleries like on the old site. It's so annoying to click on somebody's content just to see the download count, and then click the browser's back button to go back to the gallery again. We want direct compa
I never even heard of "refudiate" before. "Man Up"? Really? [e digicons];P[/e] Whatever happened to "macho"? (I think this was banned some time ago as well.) And "epic" really has become clich é as well. It's abused by today's youth. (I'm probably stating the obvious here. hehe.) BFF? As far as i'm concerned it's just an abbriveation, not a word. As I recal
It's Windows XP all over again! (I'm running Win7.)
Love the Red-Eye Logo! Awesome Job!
This may have been adressed already, but how come when viewing the galleries there's no download count displaying? You have to click on each individual link to see the # of downloads or view your own webpage's gallery to see the download counts. I want to see the #of downloads when viewing all galleries and to sort galleries by # of downloads like back on the old site. Could this be fixed anytime in the near future? Thanks.
I've never tested out a SSD yet, but I hope to get one for Christmas. Just a 40 gig though. (That's $100+ right there!) Enough to (re)install Windows 7 and make it my boot drive, along with a new PC which I hope to buy sometime after the holiday (if I get my SSD that is). I never want to go back to the annoying mechanical grinding of a HD ever again. (Let alone the slowness of it.) If they were sold at brick-n-mortar stores, I would of boug
It's about time. I've been wanting a new WindowFX since Vista first came out. (That's almost 4 years ago.) As well as IconX. It would be nice to see Special Effects such as glows, resizing and sounds when clicking desktop icons in Win7; as well as special FX when clicking icons in explorer windows. But ObjectDock can already do some of these things, so it may be pointless to consider a new IconX.
Thank goodness for YouTube Downloader. I don't use P2P Software to download songs and videos. That would be like asking unknown hackers & criminals to wreak havoc on my PC and saying "Yes! Go right ahead!".
Even though it's time consuming, making your own skin with your own graphics is always funner and more personalized than running a Win7 style (I love my Glassphire). The Win7 Style i'm using now is quite nice; it has a black transparent & blurred explorer window (as opposed to the standard opaque & white), but patching your system can be a pain in the @$$, so Windowblinds is easier and more personal. IMO, most Win7 Styles only make minor modific
I call this shot "Parallel Worlds (Remix)".
This may sound like an april fools' joke, but it's the real deal. The fools at Apple are planning to open up a dating site for just Mac lovers. I saw an article in my local newspaper and according to the article, the site detects your OS, and if you're running Windows or Linux, you're denied access to the site. It only works with iMac's or iPads running the Safari browser. This sounds cute but i've only got three words for Apple, WTF?! If the link doesn't
I mainly use Office as a graphics tool to make custom graphical calendars and cards, using Word & Publisher respectively. I never use built-in templates, 'cause that's totally lame & unoriginal. But anyway the 2007 version works just fine for my needs. I wouldn't waste the money on an upgrade, at least for now.
Here's my new command prompt icon I started working on. It's far from finished though.
The sucky thing is that the more popular the iPad & iPhone becomes, the more likely it will suffer from virus attacks and hacking, just like PCs. iPhone viruses already work on the iPad because it uses the same OS, so don't think that because the iPad is from Apple, you're automatically safe. Do iPads even have antivirus/antispyware software anyway?
I've never liked Apple to begin with. Who the hell wants to buy a device that runs on three-year-old technology (The iPhone OS)? You can't even upgrade the hardware of this friggin' device, unlike PCs. I hope that this device gets worse reception than Vista did three years ago. And another thing, Vista wasn't all that bad. It was a bit slow and clunky but it worked. At least Vista could MULTITASK!!! Hell, you can't even customize the U
From what i've seen, the new site looks awesome! :HOT: Will users be allowed to skin the site or at least their homepage? After all, WinCustomize is all about personalization. Just a suggestion.
