Hooray. My Vista's Explorer has been corrupt for about two months so I can't even use Vista for everyday tasks anymore, and i'm too lazy to re-install Vista. It's not worth it. And XP is just becoming so old and lame now. I'll just wait for Se7en. Can't wait 'til Thursday. :CONGRAT:

Explorer BGs should be able to use JPGs and PNGs instead of BMPs to reduce overall file size. (If you plan on using a non-repeating image). IE8 should be completely skinnable. This is the reason why I still have IE7. We should have a skinnable BG for message boxes instead of just being limited to a single color. (However, it might result in poor contrast when trying to read text.) The skin recoloring should be more specific, such as excluding the min/

TweakXP is a tweaking site as well as a utility, but I did the tweak manually using regedit. And IconX for some odd reason crashes every time i've loaded it recently, so I was trying to find an alternative.

This isn't anything new, but for those who want the full Vista/Se7en Experience on XP, there is a way to bypass the 72px icon size limitation; but you can't adjust it in Display Properties. I found a tweak that can enable ANY size icon up to 256px I believe; it didn't mention anything about a max. size. It can be found at http://www.tweakxp.com/article36783.aspx . As you can tell, the tweak is EX

I just tried out WindowFX on Windows 7 Beta, and it works, but to a very limited degree (partially because i'm using Se7en on Virtual PC.) Many of the options on 7 were cut out compared to Vista & XP which on my PC, reside on physical partitions. For Windows 7 (on VPC), there were only about one or two options to choose from compared to the 10 to 20ish the program normally supports. This may vary by computer setup. To make WindowFX wor

Since WindowBlinds 7 Beta came out not too long ago, my question if or when will Skinstudio 7 come out? Even a beta would be nice; but because WB7 beta is focusing primarily on compatibility with Windows 7, I don't see a reason why they would come out with a beta for SK7 just yet. And if SK7 comes out soon, like in a few months or something, what would the new UI look like? And what improvements would be made from SK6? I'd like to know because I want to take skinning to the nex

I've decided to start uploading a few of my files once again. They won't appear for at least a few days. I hope it's worth the wait. Thanks for your patience.

I apoligize for the rant I put on yesterday. (And you thought I was really gonna leave WinCustomize. I'm Good.) I actually did think about leaving. No, Really I did; but after I saw the user feedback, I realize that being a member on this site can be really fun, and I should try to make the best of it. In other words, VistArtXPosed is Back! (I feel like such a traitor, but at least i'm here aren't I?) I hope that no user on this site will ever fall under the same deathtrap

Hey Stardock. I'm sorry to say this, but I want to cancel my Account with WinCustomize . There are a few reasons for this: A: I was unaware of how many results would pop-up in <span style="background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 0%; cursor: pointer; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-

We all know that WindowBlinds 6 can change the overall look and feel of an OS. But you can take it a step further. I've discovered that you can "skin" the WindowBlinds software itself. The entire UI is made up of PNG images located in the "UI" folder. This folder is usually found somewhere in the "Public" directory in Vista, and "All Users" in XP. There are about 15 images in this folder, which makes up for the majority of the WindowBlinds UI. If you want to use y
