Is this for real? Not another April Fool's joke? I'd love to navigate this site with custom skins. Because after all, that's what WinCustomize is all about; Customization!!! :HOT:
VistArtXPosed
It would take forever to load a skin if we had to watch that video every time, let alone not being able to perform any other task on the computer. Anyway, you got me. I never expected this to be an April Fools joke! So when will WindowBlinds 7 REALLY come out in Beta?
I question about the skinnable part of the website. Will there be just a list of themes to choose from or can Wincustomize subscribers be allowed to create and upload their own themes for the website?
This is weird but when I ran v6.4 on Vista, the More Programs rollover option didn't show up, but in XP it does. I wonder why that is. ;p
This concept sounds simple; installing and running program on a USB Flash Drive. But how many people actually do it? Most people install programs on their local hard disk; mainly in the "Program Files" directory, which is fine until you run out of disk space. I've discovered a way to install virtually any software on any USB Drive without using a special U3 flash drive or 3rd p
Microsoft, just like many other organizations, never learn from their mistakes. What's with the 5 different versions? Why can't there just be two editons like XP and only make it 64-bit? Computers nowadays are going beyond the 4 GB limit, so 32-bit OS's should be obsolete by now. There should only be Windows 7 Home & Professional, that's it. I'm disappointed in Microsoft once again. Windows 7 will end up as nothing more than a reminder of Vista, despite the "new features & performance enh
I know it's kinda early to be talking about this, but how many of you people would like WinCustomize to create a Fences skin gallery? It would be really cool to create skins that match your favorite WindowBlinds setup. It's just a suggestion. I want to skin Fences to match my "Glassphire" theme, but that's just me. Comments are Welcome.
Great Program. Programs like this one should of been out years ago. Now lets take Fences one step further, by allowing custom skins to be applied, kinda like ObjectDock. That's the next step. :)
I'd like to see Windowframes have custom shapes, animated Explorer Backgrounds, (not to mention including .jpg & .png formats for explorer backgrounds), and "Superbar" exclusive features, just to name a few.
I can't wait to see the final results. It looks a lot like your desktop apps. I hope the site functions just like your apps! :HOT: What would cooler than that is if registered users can skin their personal sites with their favorite skins. That would be SO Awesome!!!
Windows 7, Free? Don't be ridiculous. Windows isn't open-source. It shouldn't be free. Microsoft would be losing out on a lot of money if W7 was free. I honestly expect it to be priced around what Vista was, depending on how many versions come out. I hope they go back to only two versions, and maybe one for handheld devices, but two mainstream versions, like XP's Home & Professional. A Home version should cost around $149 and Professional, about $199 to
I wonder how Windowblinds will be different in Windows 7 than in Vista. Will the SuperBar have enhanced skinning abilities such as animation?
I have been having this problem for a few months now, but every time I try to uninstall MyColors in Vista, it comes with a popup window stating "Stardock Impulse has stopped working" immediately after double-licking the icon. Are MyColors & Impulse somehow linked? Should I try reinstalling Impulse, then uninstall MyColors? Feel free to comment. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I have the full version of Windowblinds, and after explorer loads, it intermittently loads Windows Classic. I don't know why. Most of the time, Windowblinds loads fine, but about 20% of the time, it loads in classic, whether it be explorer or launching a program. It bugs me, so I just exit the program and restart it so I can get the skinned interface. My Windows Experience Index is only a 2.6 and Windowblinds still loads just fine. But roughly about 70% of the
How large is the download? Is 7 WindowBlinds compatible? Even if it's not, I shall check it out! :CONGRAT:
Thank You. :CONGRAT:
It's been a while since I last updated Glassphire, but by studying and experimenting with other skins, I've discovered someting that might change Windowblinds skins forever, a fully-animated Windowframe. We have animated progress bars, start menus, but what about WindowFrames? No animated skin is complete without animated menus and Active Windows. This update will also have two new substyles which feature such animations (one for Vista, and one for XP). These
Steve Jobs leaving Apple? That's a shocker. I wonder what the future of Apple will be like after Jobs leaves. I hope that PCs will still dominate the computer market. :D And the release of Windows 7? I'm looking forward to it. It's still questionable whether 7 will really live up to the hype and whether it's a viable replacement for Vista and XP. I hope that Windows 7 will release only 64-bit OS's. Computers that have more than 4 GBs (which most are nowdays) require to run a 64-bit OS
If you bought a new computer recently, you didn't have a choice. The only computers that come pre-installed with XP now are netbooks, which by the way, are a piece of crap! The netbooks i've seen only run XP Home (not Pro.) I would so much rather have a newer computer with Vista installed on it than a netbook with XP. (because of hardware specs.) If you want a high-performance XP machine, Format the hard drive, and perform a fresh installation of XP Pro. If you don't
Hope to get Windows 7 64-bit next Christmas (if it's released by then.) I hope my computer can handle 3 OS's installed on the same machine. (Windows 7, Vista, and XP) [e digicons]B)[/e]
Yum! French Fries with Buffalo Sauce!
I have officially decided to create an alternate holiday version of Glassphire. It took me a few weeks whether it was worth making. But due to the popularity of the original Glassphire, I decided, "why not?" But don't expect a dramatic change. After all, I still want to have the original Glassphire look and feel. I am adding very few new elements, such as a textured snowflake background for the start menu and explorer backgrounds. The color scheme is of cours
The Start Menu is a pain in the neck to use. It's just so hard to find anything, and the search box just complicates things even further. I try to use my desktop icons and quick launch bar to launch apps instead.
I need help! I've successfully installed the ISO on my virtual machine, but on my physical machine, the DVD's not bootable. Why is that? [e digicons]:maybe:[/e]
No programming knowledge required. Mostly, you configure it by checkboxes and drop-down lists. (If it required programming, I couldn't use it.) Just Download vLite and see for yourself (except if you don't have a Vista Disk and wimgapi.dll, it's rendered useless.) Or find screenshots on the web to have an idea of how to configure it. Click Here to download wimgapi.dll. [link="http://www.afreedll.com/dll/get/8404/wimgapi.dll"]WWW Link[/link]
