I find it funny that all I've heard for the past 2 years is how weak and pathetic pirates are. Now that they are apparently buffed, people are screaming about that. Me? I didn't buy the game to fight pirates. When I play an MP game and someone has them turned on, I just leave. Also, when people turn them off (which is what I want), they give stupid justifications for turning them off, such as "well they are just weak and pointless." What? My justifi
Seige frigates do not have the same role as bombers so this is an irrelevant comparison.
It isn't an irrelevant comparison. The siege frigates assault my planet. Ogrovs and Adjudicators assault my structures. So do bombers. Fighters counter all of them. Simple, intuitive, makes sense. No need for me to have to map an arbitrary, complex system of counters in my head, making things complicated just for the sake of making things complica

Come on. Anything else to report? The patch has been out long enough to make an evaluation, yes? Does Advent still seem ridiculously OP? Does Vasari still seem UP? What's the mainline strat or spam now... lrm? What are you seeing? What is there to report?
(suggestion #2 isn't bad either)Yeah, I do like the multi-grouping idea, but in the interests of "being careful what you wish for category", if you auto enable fire control and target aquisition across the board then I think good micromanagement skills begin to be less of an advantage because it might "level the playing field" a little too much.
Screw micromanagement. I think the armor type on the ogrov/adjudici is fine. It is intuitive and makes sense. All the things that "assault" either my planet (siege frigs) or structures (ogrovs/adjudici) have the same armor type and are countered by fighters. As a defender, I know what to build for the counter. Just seems to make sense. Fighters are for defense, bombers are never for defense but for offense. It is a "wholistic" and consistent system. It isn't arbitrary.&nbsp
This is a fantastic suggestion. I will pay you just for thinking of it. Where do I send the money?
Just keep the money, and tell the devs you'll use it to buy Diplomacy if the suggestion is ever implemented :-) (suggestion #2 isn't bad either)

If you are just fighting against the AI, simply spam the hell out of illuminators. Also, if you are building a lot of capships, tech both levels of "Mass Transductance" - one of your ultimate military techs.
Ogrovs are fine; those things hit viciously hard
They do hit visciously hard, I never disputed that. What I'm asking is, considering their supply cost, do you find yourself buying them instead of carriers? List every pro and con you can think of, ogrovs vs. carriers. (Range? Carriers have more. Tier level? Carriers are less Tier. Specialization? Carriers attack more targets. Etc.) I was able to come up with one

Okay, I confess. Bottom line is, I never got a hard-on for the idea of Diplomacy. Hey, no biggie, I understand that SP folks like it, and that's fine. You can't please everybody all the time. But is there a way you can get my money anyway? Yes. I figure Diplomacy will be supported (i.e. patched) for the next year or so. I'd simply like a few interface changes. I see those, I'll throw down my change for a copy, and I bet other MP types who have

Darvin, you are making the argument I made here on this very same thread a few months ago. You would have to scroll back quite a few pages, but I said that Ogrovs and Adjudicators are NOT supplied correctly, i.e. they cost way too much supply for what they do. Don't get me wrong, I don't want them made OP (too cheap). But I want a reason to build them over bombers. I went down the list comparing them to bombers, and I almost never see a reason to invest in thes

Since the vasari SB is the vasari anti-structure weapon, I see no problem giving the disintegrators an upgrade to help it FULFILL ITS ROLE AS AN ANTI-STRUCTURE WEAPON. Upping disintegrators wouldn't make the thing OP or allow it to kill fleets any better. It would just help it DO ITS JOB OF KILLING STRUCTURES. Ogrovs and Adjudicators don't have problems killing structures, why should the orky?

So I've heard no reports of playtesting the new entrenchment patch. Any change in MP? Seeker spam still viable? Vasari skirmishers any more viable? Scramble bombers any good?
but a level 6 Dunov in multiplayer is also a miracle. I've personally never seen one.
I got a Dunov to level 7 a few weeks ago in a pretty awesome 5v5 (MP).
