agent Kharma... you are pretty clearly a conservative denier.
I am certainly a conservative, but I hesitate to classify myself as such these days, because in the popular culture the term seems to have degenerated into little more than "Bush supporter" (never voted for him), "war supporter" (I am not), republican (I am not), or, paradoxically, a supporter of big government (I am not). Since the term seems meaningless these days, I don't use the term, but will certa
Missile Barrage- the ability is silly as it is and the complaints about it are legitimate, no crew could attack infinite targets with missiles, either implement a target maximum or restrict to a smaller area saturated with non-homing missiles- a proper 'barrage'.
I hated the marza as much as anyone else. I think case against the marza was laid out and thrashed out very well on all sides, with vigorous and heated debate. The devs certainly read the main post
Sova bug: https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/372071/#2481474
HA! Excellent! It seems that if your income is negative, the sova will steal your negative income! Add this to the list of bugs.
Agent kharma: I'm so neutral blablabla. What's your stance on health care, abortion, guns and foreign policy?
Oh, you seriously misunderstood or misread what I said and what I'm about. I not neutral on anything. I just said I don't automatically buy into the claims of the big establishment political parties on both sides, the corporations, etc. Abortion? 100% against. It is murder. Guns? 100% for. I have many.</p
So then, what is your answer to the radioactive waste that is produced by nuclear fission - how do we dispose of it?
I don't understand why it should be so big of a problem. For one thing, the stuff we are digging up to stick in reactors (Uranium) is radioactive. Is the stuff that comes out - the waste - any more radioactive? Why can't we just stick the waste where we found the original stuff to begin with, or dig some big hole somewhere? I don't
OMG its too OP, either the antimatter cost is reduced or the ability cd reduced how bout increase its repair power or make it STACK with other skitantra's repair cloud?
Not repair, microphasing aura
If you want to give Microphasing Aura a boost, here's an idea: make it give all friendly strike craft in the area of effect a small chance to evade attack damage against them.
Here's a simple one - what about significantly expanding its radius? Like, to most of the grav well.
Is there an active in-game community?
In-game community is very small.
I said this the very day that the patch notes were released.
Didn't know anyone else said it, but glad you agree.
The Skirantra is still a very powerful capital ship, but I will agree it got the shaft in terms of buffs to carrier caps.
As ever, vasari is the game's red-headed stepchild.
I am neither denier nor skeptic, I'm just a realist who realizes that the world is full of lies, liars, and stupid people who can't think for themselves. I side with neither liberals nor conservatives on anything (rather, I just side with the correct side), and I never vote for a major party. Furthermore, as a disclaimer, I will state that I hate corporations and big money more than most any "liberal." These are the facts as I see them. If you pay attention, you will
I wouldn't swear to these conclusions for the moment, that's why I'm throwing this out there to hear what others say. But unless I hear something that changes my mind, it seems to be correct. I've been trying to use the skirantra to counter various things by advent and tec. It has dawned upon me that while it received a buff along with the other carrier caps, its buff is far less useful in practice, so it received an effective nerf against the other carrier caps. T
or an upgrade to Vasari turrets that allowed them to roam the gravwell..?
Funny, I thought of that a while back myself, being based on the fact that their starbases can move.
The seeker spam is no longer a huge pain in the neck, because skirmishers....while pathetic, will beat pure seekers.
Absolutely true. Thing is though, if he's any kind of quality opponent, he'll let you spam out enough skirmishers to screw yourself, then come back with either more powerful, cost effective disciples to clean your clock, or illums.
I'm sorry, but I've never had trouble with fighting seekers. Just don't build a target with light armor,
It does boost damage to those in system when it hits. It gives 15% in vanilla and 25%(i think) in entrenchment. It is a fleet buff cannon at present and is able to fire at friendly worlds unlike the other 2 cannons.
Well that actually sounds pretty good as is, then.
I like this, but it would involve me quitting every single time I see it coming. My online record (it isn't impressive by any means I admit) would get even worse
Nah, if you hit quit instead of surrender, it doesn't count as a loss. The only stat that really counts is number of games played.
and I further suspect word would start getting around about me that I'll quit after 30 minutes.
One thing you can do is have 5 different accounts to
Okay, just got out of a 1v1 as vasari vs... of course advent (you didn't guess that correctly, did you?). He used the... of course seeker/disciple spam strat (you didn't guess that correctly, did you?). At any rate, what I'm here to say is, I've stumbled upon the perfect counter as vasari! I'm serious! Read on.... So the game starts. Of course, not only am I 'roid fucked, but I have only 1 phase lane out of my homeworld as well, so I was instantly b
I thought that the devs modified the Deliverance Engine so that it increased the damage output of your fleet, in addition to any cultural effects?
So you are saying it was buffed sometime semi-recently? Then I suppose that needs to be taken into account before asking for changes....
when I go against a couple of unfairs in single player with it turned off and I play as advent, I can still spam seekers...
Yeah, but you can spam anything in SP and win.
At least 1v1 isn't an Advent smurf/rushfest like all the other ICO games. Can the other factions even rush any more?
It isn't a rushfest, but 1v1 your opponent will still choose advent 90% of the time. I know because I have quit playing in the larger games for my own personal reasons, and pretty much do 1v1. To give you a taste of the dilemna I faced in my last game, the game starts. Because I am still paranoid about having 2 halcyons show up early
It's not a combat weapon, it's espionage. Kill your enemy's econ from behind enemy lines. It's duration cancels out the need for direct alliegience drop. If you add this, people could scatter steal planets, build a culture center here and there, then hit everything in between, owned or not, with deliverance and steal 50% of owned planets minimum with almost no work at all, and no defense. Tha makes it far MORE powerful
The spam alone is bad enough to deal with. But have you been hit with the spam backed by 2 halcyons loaded with bombers, in a rush? Because then the only "counters" you are left with don't work! Starbase? It goes down in seconds to the bombers. Capships? They die in seconds to the bombers. Get out a few carriers with fighters to deal with the bombers? Bitchslap. Anyway, I agree that 5v5 pugs, quickstart, and fast speed settings are a lot
Sins online multiplayer is pretty much like any other online multiplayer game
Actually, it is quite different from my experience. I played tons of starcraft, never saw an episode. I played tons of Dow, and now Dow2, and have never seen an episode. But the first game I ever got on Sins MP, there was a huge episode, and it has continued ever since. This is just my speculation, but perhaps you come from an FPS MP environment. I don't play FP
Please read the volumous threads related to smurfing, and try not to pretend that you play much multiplayer online if you're asking this question in the first place.
Read them. For some reason I was still unable to find why smurfing is considered so bad. Maybe the reasons were just buried in the mountains of text and I missed them. If I had to make a guess, this is all about trying to put balanced teams together for these pug matches. Since I usu
Here are some votes, and I thought it would be helpful to the debate to explain my rationale for them. Nay to change minimum mines to 3. My rationale for this vote is that there should be some variability between planets so that you have strategic choices to make about how to colonize them. Nay to buff fighters. The reason isn't that I don't think adjustments aren't needed or warranted.
