Well jeez, that really disappoints me. I thought there would be things like giving units, giving tactical slots or logistical slots, giving planets, etc. which would have been way cool. The stuff you listed doesn't impress me in the least. Unless I hear something else that ends up changing my mind I don't plan to buy it.

Okay, I need to know a little something about it before I buy it. All I've heard is a little mumbo-jumbo about envoy cruisers, embassies, and stronger pirates, none of which does anything to get my juices flowing. I need more detail. In particular, I would like to know about the different types of pacts, what you can do with them, etc. You can throw me whatever info you have, but the type things I would be interested in are: 1) Can I buy, sell, trade, or in s

See this: https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/371181 Howdidudothat, is the bug you report always reproducible? If so we need to add it to a bugs list or something. Please look at this as well, and tell me if you've seen it, can reproduce it, whatever (I get no responses from anyone on these bug reports - it's like nobody cares or something): https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/371324

Ogrovs and Adjudicators are NOT supplied right. Why on earth is their supply so expensive? Carriers cost about the same supply, but can do the exact same job Ogrovs and Adjudicators do. Furthermore, carriers are far more general, and can kill capships, lrf, HC, and just about anything else, while Ogrovs and Adjudicators can only kill structures. Carriers are FAR, FAR tougher than Ogrovs or Adjudicators, which are literally made of tissue paper. Carriers actually

One thing I've never quite been able to figure out is that tier in this game seems sort of meaningless. For instance, a carrier is tier 2 for advent, tier 3 for the others. Yet tier 1 light frigs for all factions counter tier 2/3 carriers, tier 2/3 carriers counter tier 5 HC, tier 1 scouts counter tier 2/3 lrf, etc. This seems sort of strange to me - lower tier units countering higher tier ones. Usually you'd want higher tier units countering lower tier ones, that way

It's a retarded mechanic. The devs should have made it to where the highest ranking capital ship is always the fleet leader when selecting them like that, but for some reason it tends to pick some random pissant frigate instaad. What you have to do is select them all with the mouse, and then hit tab until you cycle through to the fleet leader you want (most likely a capital ship) and THEN create the fleet.
I think the main problem with the game isn't Scout/LF or LRF spam.
Just to clarify the point of my post, the main problem is that the game has unbalanced strategies where a counter to a particular strat is way harder to pull off than the strat, so your only recourse is to do the same strat back at him (rock vs. rock). Examples are: spamming siege frigs, spamming lrf, spamming carriers, spamming scouts/lf. I think we'd all agree that we wouldn't rather count

The problem with this game, from the day it was released, is that while the devs (arguably, heh) made an attempt to balance units somewhat, they never balanced strategies. Now, it would be virtually impossible to foresee every exotic strat someone might come up with, and balance for it - that's what patches are for. But no brainers? Come on! I mean, their own AI was spamming uber-siege frigs of doom when the game was released, so you mean to tell me they didn't know ab
Like maybe fifteen to 25 minutes tops.....a window during which Vasari actually plays out fairly balanced (this is a big part of why Vasari is so imbalanced now, it used to be Vasari players made up for weaker units with an early jump on neutrals, even if it was only a few neutrals.
That's not all. Vasari also got to pump assailants with just one lab, which allowed them to get the jump because TEC requires 2 and Advent 3. But with quick start, plopping down
If you think it is wrong to kick someone though, what does that show about your own ethics that you kick several people just because they are more well known just for your own ego.
1. I think it's wrong to just punch someone in the face with no reason. But that doesn't mean I won't punch someone in the face for self defense - I've done it many times. Similarly, like most people, I believe that killing is wrong. It doesn't mean I won't blow someon

Was playing Advent multiplayer against a TEC. I had shield guardians in my fleet, he had a dunov in his fleet. I activated repulse and his fleet started to move, but then his dunov fired its shield restore on one of his ships, and repulse instantly stopped, and all his ships instantly stopped moving. I had to pop repulse again. I think its a bug. If a dunov fires shield restore when its being hit by repulse, it stops repulse. Has anyone else seen this?&nb
Slower speeds? That's sacrilege! No. That's fun. Am I the only person who hates that Sins is getting faster?
No you are not. I refused to play MP for the longest time simply because everyone wants to play it on maxed out speeds. Alas, I had to bite the bullet and accept that if I were ever to have any human competition, I would have to play on the fastest settings. I can never play my best game th
Agent: i reckon you should make a Clan only game, or Skilled only game, and then kick people out after 2 hours, just see how they like it
I already did, except it wasn't a clan only game. Booted Pawelo, and then both Z00MERS and KLMZ3 or whatever the hell his name is cursed at me and left. Z00MERS and KLMZ3 both told me that if Pawelo boots someone, that's fine, but if I do it, I'm an idiot and an asshole. I just laughed. It was the most hillari
im sure you know but its worthwhile to note that the vasari Subverter (i think) has the ability to do a mini phase jump within a system... if you are experiencing what i think you are experiencing, its when ships arrive in a gw, and then all of a sudden reappear a good distance to the left or right... really weird...
The second situation, not the first with the subverter.
We generally take a hands off approach. Do you really want to play with someone who would kick you out so freely anyway? I recommend hosting your own game or finding a noob-friendly host that can show you more respect.
If this was directed at me - no, I don't want to play with him, or anyone else who would do such a thing, and have actively avoided him and others like him since.

One last question, 6) If you scuttle your own structure in the presence of your vasari capship (after doing the research which allows capships to collect scrap), will you receive an additional scrap bonus? Or does it just apply to enemy stuff you blow up?
If nano has been nerfed as being over-powerful for a colony cap, Shield Restore could be nerfed as well,
Since the marza kept its missle barrage, all of these arguments are out the window... there is no such thing as "over powerful." Unless you really mean "colony cap" instead of just "cap," but I never saw any rationale as to why the devs did this or that. I never saw the devs say something was OP for a colony cap.

STARBASES NOT ATTACKING Two games in the last 2 days I've seen this. In my online game last night, I SB'd an enemy player's planet as vasari. There was one turret that the SB wouldn't kill. I ordered it to kill the turret time and time again, it would not. Actually, it wouldn't even move toward it to get in range. It's like there was an invisible shield between the SB and the turret. The SB was not on hold position, it's autoattack was not turned of

Yeah, I mean I could sit down and program a map generator with all the goodies you want, but how would we incorporate that into the game? People can't do all this downloading and adding to folders, blah blah. I don't mind overlapping planets - in fact I actually like them, I can see two grav wells at once on my screen. The problem is when they are directly stacked one on top of the other.

1) what is the base scuttle percentage returned for ships and structrues? 2) what is the percentage returned after all vasari scuttle upgrades? 3) if a ship or structure is damaged, is it still scuttled for full value, or only a percentage? 4) if improvements are made to a starbase, are those taken into consideration if it is scrapped?

Didn't RagingAmish say on one thread that you were guaranteed not to be roid fucked under some circumstance, like not having neutrals attached to your planet, or having more than one phase lane out, or something to that effect? I just finished a game where I had an ice and a volcanic attached to my homeworld, but no roid. I had 2 phase lanes out, and no neutral attached. What's the rule on being roid fucked?
