It was an honor for my mod appearing in the issue of PC GAMER, and totally took me by suprise, and I was really taken back and humbled. I put in loads of time and effort into the mod, but it would not even be possible without my team and those who helped me along the way, and the other modders whose mods I merged with my own. I hope this issue of PC GAMER really brings more people to the game, the forums, and the modding community. Fresh people, fresh ideas, exicited players are what drives u

Hello All, Your concerns are being heard lous and clear, and I am working on them right now. Unfortunately, this happens when multiple mods come together. I merged in two new mods since 1.2, so playtesting is critical. I put in about 20 hours personally, and have had no problems. I will try some more to try to recreate the problem. But remember this: 7 DEADLY SINS 1.3 is NOT an add-on to 1.2, you must remove 1.2 or deactivate it, then activate 1.3. This "should" clear most

Thank you all for the kudos and congrats, I really appreciate it, and it is what drive me to keep working on this mod. I finally picked up a copy of PC Gamer myself, and saw the mod, and my name, right there. I was really humbled, and taken back. Talking about 15 minutes of fame! Hopefully, this will lead to bigger and better things. I would really like to do this for money some day, so maybe this writeup will help out. As far as the problems, I hear you all and I am working on it.

Canadaman777: IF I merge Star Wars in, I will do what you asked as I totally agree. To everyone having problems: There is a known issue, that if you are running the game at 6x to 8x, the game dumps, even for me, and my computer is pretty maxed out. Here's the stats of my beast: Dual Core 2.4 ghz Centrino processors 4 Gigs of Ram Dual 8700GT Nvidia graphics cards in SLI format 100 gig hard drive AGI physics processor Windows XP And it dumps fo

Here is a link to the file to fix the particle forge and DEV exe. I have it hosted in my filefront account: [link="http://files.filefront.com/d3dx9+32zip/;10303319;/fileinfo.html"]WWW Link[/link] This should fix things. Just put all the stuff, including the DEV exe and particle forge files, into your main SINS folder along with the new file. Enjoy! DANMAN

Love that missle shot! Yes, the particle forge is awesome! Finally! As Bailknight said, be careful how many particles you assign per effect. The game has to load all these on startup. DANMAN

Ok, I googled the "d3dx9_32.dll, found the site, and downloaded the file. I put it into the main SINS folder where the main exe file is, along with the DEV exe. I also put the particle forge, including all the files, and tried it. IT WORKED! I can now access both programs. Thank you to ToJKa, for suggesting the Google option, and to Aractain for the help. Let the mods pour forth! DANMAN
If you are lost, open the particles from the game to see how they did it, its a bit confusing at first but its not that complex. The Ironclad particles refrence textures in C:\gs\blah blah which obivously won't work for default. You can copy all the textures there if you want to see them a lot.I was talking to Xefus, Im just lazy and didn't press quote. Do you actualy have D3dx9_32.dll? My DirectX is up at d3dx9_36.dll.
Yes, I have d3dx9_36.dll too. But for some reason th

Aractain: Thank you for the help, but i have been modding the old fashioned way since the beginning. I am just frustrated that the tools that I have waited for months now will not work, no matter how hard I try or what I do. Hopefully, Psugar, or one of the other DEVS are listening. DANMAN

Ok, I downloaded the most up to date .NET, and also the most current Windows updates and service packs (took over a have half hour with a FIBER OPTIC connection). Still, No DEV exe or particle forge. This is really frustrating. To finally get the tools we need and not be able to use them. Any help would be great! I get this error when trying to load the DEV .exe: "This application has failed to start because d3dx9_32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application

Dragonics: Don't have to wait too long! dr_extremo: Time freeze huh? I like that, now to figure out how to do it... Don't worry about the Dreadnaught. It actually no longer exists the way in which it did. The name itself is gone too. (RIP) It is now know as the ANUBIS - who is the Egyptian god of DEATH... The Dreadnaught is now a TITAN class starship, but more balanced now than ever. It can be destroyed, and by just about anyone now too. So, in a sense, I nerfe

OMG! YES! The particle editor is finally here! DEV. exe! Finally, the program we have all hoped and prayed for (and pushed for) is here!!!! Thank you very much Ironclad and Stardock. A special thank you to psugar for paying attention to us modders who have been screaming for these tools. This is a HUGE improvement from what we had, and will hopefully make our lives, as modders, all the better. I can't wait to tell my team! Spread the word my friends... Thank you!!!!!
